Waited a Lifetime for This!! - New York, NY

As a surgical ICU RN, I get an in depth view at all the things that can go wrong with any and every surgical procedure including breast augmentation. So yes, scared already!! I knew that it would take an exemplary first impression and pure confidence in someone's practice to choose a plastic surgeon. Of course as a nurse, I meticulously combed through many results for 'plastic surgeons nyc' to find the perfect surgeon to perform my breast augmentation. I was guided, I feel, to Dr. Afridi’s name and decided to do research on her and her practice.
To my delight, there were nothing but positive and encouraging reviews; I did not find one negative review in my search. Skeptical, yes, but all the reviews just felt so genuine. The joy and happiness expressed in the reviews were not something that could be faked. I knew I had to schedule a consult with this plastic surgeon and see for myself. When it comes to anything medical, we as nurses utilize all of our knowledge of medicine and also my surgical insight to choose a professional that fits a very strict set of criteria. I was soon to find out that not only were the reviews absolutely accurate but my own personal visit super-ceded my expectations.
When I called to schedule an appointment, Heidi answered and immediately made me feel comfortable with her gentle voice and willingness to answer any question I asked. Upon coming in for the appointment, I met her and was even more pleased with her warm and welcoming approach. I was nervous and worried that the experience would not be as expected but it was everything that I hoped and more.
Dr Afridi's wisdom and insight for her profession extends far beyond her years. She made the appointment feel light and like a conversation with a friend. She let me ask all 101 questions I had and placed no limit to my appointment. She listened to everything that I wanted and then whisked me away to the treatment room where I tried on a few different sizes. I wanted to get the implant that truly fit the size I've always desired but also trusted her experience to tell me when she felt the implant may overwhelm me or may not be aesthetically pleasing. This was welcomed because I feel like a lot of surgeons just give you what you ask for without offering an opinion; and who better to give you such an opinion than someone who has performed this surgery numerous times.
I really appreciated her perceptivity in recognizing the best fit for me and in the end we both agreed on the choice that I made but she always reminded me that ultimately it was my choice. However, her knowledge helped to make the process all the more easy. I also loved that she never pushed any procedure on me but simply gave me a vision of the ones that I did want to pursue.
Dr. Afridi is so down to earth and Heidi, of course compliments this which gave the atmosphere such a pleasant feeling. I knew then that I had to schedule this procedure with her. Her practice will go very far and will surpass many of her colleagues because of the passion that she shows through her work and her willingness to listen as well as her desire to provide you with the utmost best result. I honestly can not describe how truly amazing these two women compliment each other and their customer service can never be rivaled.
I plan to do more procedures with Dr. Afridi and would never go to another surgeon, even if she moved cross country, but I hope she doesn’t because I would take train, bus or airplane to get there. One truly can not ascertain the depth of how exemplary you feel after walking out of her office filled with confidence and assurance that you are in the best hands unless you experience it for yourself. I think, to conclude, the best way to describe this practice and its members are simply extraordinary!
