Sad state of affairs

Haven't been doing well at all. My back is a nightmare and it hurts beyond words right now. I'm not sure what's going on with it. I don't know what else to say. Hopefully when I see Dr. S next week he'll be able to clarify. I hope this is not permanent scaring :0( sorry for the nasty pics but just wanted to show you ladies the whole truth.

Post op Appt.

Hey Ladies, Recovery has been draining to say the least. Today I had my post op appt with Sari. She is so nice. She cut my stitches and told me not to worry that I’m coming right along. I just feel exhausted doing the simplest of tasks. Riding on my tummy is the car is not pleasant, every pothole feels like a punch but I have to suck it up and be a big girl. I meet a future bbl-er at the office today. We talked for a few. I gave her a few tips since she’s having surgery this week and told her not to be nervous, she’s in great hands. We didn’t exchange names but she did say she checks realself. So if you’re reading this Good Luck my dear!! You’ll be just fine.
Shower time is getting easier. So glad I bought an extra stage 1 garment. I know it was a $100 for something I’ll only be wearing for 2 weeks but ladies it worth it.
BM!! Oh gosh, it finally came. ::wipes brow::
Ok, I’m going to be blunt because we’re all adults. The Doc-q-lace didn’t work for me so I was constipated as hell. My body was buckling over but it just wouldn’t come out. I didn’t want to do an enema because those normally give me cramps. Then I remembered something my girlfriend used on her son as an infant. WARNING..TMI…. Take a Q-tip. Dip it in vasoline. Stick it in your rectum (or have someone help you) along the outside in a circular motion, to basically lube the walls of your rectum. Then stand back!! Lol. It was 3….2…..1… BLAST OFF!!
I used a plastic bag to do my BM. I cut holes in the sides and slide it on like a diaper (see pic). I pulled the drawstrings so I could use my hands to hold on. I put a blanket on my couch, got my knees, bent my back and held onto the back on the couch. HEAVEN!!
Is it just me or is this stage one thong going places it shouldn’t be going? Ouch!! I can wait to sit. I haven’t been sleeping at home because my mattress is way too soft and I feel like I’m sinking/suffocating in it. My mother has a very firm mattress and it feels soo much better to lie on. I don’t even need my stool to help me get in and out of her bed.
Oh and the itching has started. Not too bad. I lightly rub the area over my clothing. And that’s all I can think of right now. Happy Healing to anyone in recovery.

Shower day!! Oohhh the HORROR!!!

I ordered my medisol from http://www.de-solv-it.com/ they were 5.98 each and shipping was free so i got two for $11.96 :-). They took a week to arrive but was right on time for my shower.
Foam removal.... girls!! [RS bleep] got real today. For me, it was painful. I sprayed almost an entire bottle of medi-sol.. still didn't come off... then got in the shower to soak the foam.... still didn't come off... then used a whole bottle of dial antibacterial hand soap.. let it marinate... still didn't come off. Finally got back in the shower for about 10 mins of having warm water run down my back it began to loosen up.. Don't get it confused.. in no way, shape or form did it glide off with ease. Pressure had to be applied. AND.. to top it off, i'm ticklish! So it was a nightmare removing the foam from my back and sides while trying not to laugh... my tummy hurts now. :-/

Sorry ladies I did not get to take any pics today. i'm exhausted. After removing my garment I felt light headed. I had to lie down periodically. Putting my second stage 1 garment on was a chore. I know they had to rough me up after surgery to get the first one on.

I try to walk a little every day, however i'm still kind of hunched over. but its getting better.

All in all. I made it!! Thank you Jesus. Another day down. I hope everyone else in recovery is doing well.

So far he is really nice. During my consultation he answered all my questions and I didn't feel rushed. All the ladies in the office are really sweet and patient.
