So after doing research and thinking about possibly traveling to another state/country I decided to do it here in NYC. I've been in the health care field for over 7 years and I've seen a lot surgeries gone bad. My health is most important to me so I am taking my time and reading threw, threw to make sure I make the right selection.I was looking at Hassan in Miami, but as we know his board certification isn't in plastic surgery, I then looked at Cabral in DR because his girls look amazing but ironically enough, that same day at work they referred a patient for home wound care and intravenous antibiotic. In her chart I read a note from the infectious disease doc stating that the clinic where the patient had her tummy tuck and bbl is contaminated with two horrible types of bacteria. They are called enterobacter and micobacterium and are wide spread in the CIPLA clinic. (I thanked god because I am terrified as it is)

So I'm sticking with dr. Del vecchio because he is close to where I live, has an Ivy League education is board certified as plastic surgeon and my gut is just telling me to do it here where I feel safe.

I called the office and spoke with his assistant Peg, which by the way she was super nice. She gave me her email, Snapchat and IG. I am following and I am even more convinced that this is who I want to get my surgery with. The results are amazing.

It's kind of on the expensive side but honestly I am not putting a price tag on my body so I'll give anything knowing I m in good hands and close to home. I am waiting on him to call me.
I heard he can be rude but is very realistic and I love to hear it upfront rather than have people beat around the bush.

I was planning to have surgery with Dr D but as I did more research a lot of his patients go for round 2 and complain that their butt had gone down alot, this worries me because for the amount I'm spending I can not afford another round

Also his lipo skills are not the best check his patients out on IG they will tell you, they are going to other surgeons for round 2

What other doctors are you looking at and where? Honestly I think paying his price gives a sense of security cuz at least I am home and I know I will not have a horror story. But the truth is i don't know of a doctor that cold snatch like they do in DR that does surgery here, and so far I think he's the best in NYC from what I've read. So keep me posted let me know.

Actually I just saw some of his patients on IG and I've been noticing that. His patients tend to go for round 2. But you have to keep in mind that you can only take 5L of fat. So the procedure is well done but not everyone will have the same result. What dose concern me is that the ass deflates... so now I'm thinking seeing dr. Shulman.

In fat transfer I think only about 60% of the fat survives on average. I know a woman who had fat transfer last year and almost all of it reabsorbed. She was very disappointed. I think it depends on your body - some people do great, some don't. It's a crap shoot that way. I wanted to do it for my breasts cause I loved the idea of it, but after researching it more I decided I better just go with a small implant because if it didn't last I'd be pissed spending all that money for nothing.

Spoke with Dr.Del vecchio he was soooo polite and gave me such a warm feeling. He told me I am a good candidate for the bbl and liposuction of back, flanks and abdomen. He explained he likes to call patients and let them know if they are candidates so he will not waste patients time. When Monday rolls around I'll be scheduling my In Person consultation!! I am super excited.

That's interesting. How does he know if you're a good candidate before he even sees you in person? Did he explain his criteria for determining that over the phone?

So he did mentioned base on what he can see he thinks I am a good candidate but of course I have to in in person. For the most part he went over what was realistic and what he thought I would need (tummy tuck) in the future.
