Botox Made my Face Sag. Has Anyone Recovered from Bad Botox Side Effects? And How Long Did It Take? Looking for Hope - New York

Had botox done on forehead, jawline, and neck muscles almost a month ago. Immediately after I noticed both my eyes drooped (ptosis),my under eyes hollowed like crazy (i read about it and apparently the paralyzed eye muscle stops holding up the fat pad so it drops down creating concave undereyes), deep dents in inner corner of eyes especially when I smile, new deep nasolabial folds, sagging jowls, lines along my chin, and deep lines on the outer corner of my lips making them look downturned. Oh and my cheeks dropped! It's been a nightmare. I've aged 10 years! I've been reading about it and so many people had similar experiences. It's like the muscles stop working so other muscles compensate and create new lines and wrinkles.
I'm so worried that this is permanent. I'm scared the muscles will atrophy or even if they do return to normal, the changed anatomy (like under eye fat pad dropping down) will not return to it's previous form. I refuse to do any more procedures. I'm still young and can't imagine getting fillers for the rest of my life. It was my first and only time getting botox or even anything done. I just want my face back.
Has anyone had similar experiences and their faces went back to normal? How long did it take? I'm looking for positive stories of recovery to help me survive the next few months.

He says it's not related to botox which is crazy. How could my face change overnight? Barely gave me time to listen to my concerns.

same problem. Got it done 15 month ago and still recovering. Now face shape came back, but skin lost elasticity, feels saggy. Don’t know if it will ever recover. Worst Nightmare
Similar problem! I had Botox for mild TMJ. I had 15 units in temples, 25 units in masseter, lateral and medial pterygoid and forehead. My temples hollowed 2 weeks later (hourglass deformity) then 4 weeks later I developed jowls. My whole lower face started to sag after 6 weeks and I lost my angular jawline. Everyone says I look different, in my opinion 5-10 years older. I had a beautiful face and did some part time modelling, which I can’t do now. Will I ever return to normal?
same story here but not my jaw my upper face and eyes. how are you now?
My face is fuller than it was directly after the Botox but it has not returned to normal over two years later. I still have the slight sagging of the skin around the jowl area which I didn’t have prior to the Botox and my masseter muscle volume is still diminished.
Weird i have jowls now i didnt have before botox a year ago and i got my forhead and eyes treated. My eyes are asbolutely fucked still a year later I will probably need surgery. Brows are still low too. I’m so young so this sucks even more, my old eyeshape is gone I’m just left with hollows and droopy skin and fat. I hate botox :(((

Can anyone tell me if their botox results improved? 4 mos after masseter botox (24 iu x side) and it hollowed me out and i have the beginning of jowls. :-(
Hello all. I'm having the same exact issue!! I received botox at masseters in Oct 2019 (R: 22 units L: 8 units) and then again in Nov 2019 (R: 6 units and L: 6 units). Almost immediately after the 2nd injections, my lower face began to sag and cheeks have hollowed out, and I’ve formed deep lines around my mouth (my face has almost a square shape to it now). I’ve also noticed one side of my face now looks lower than the other. I look horrible!! Before the injections myn face was vibrant and everyone always told me I looked 5+ years younger than my real age. Now I look 5+ years OLDER! I've tried to explain what happened to my face to 2 separate (new) doctors but neither knew what my face looked like prior to the injections (other than photos I’ve shown them) so neither even considered the botox injections to be the culprit and have stated my sagging jowls and face hollowing are due to "regular aging". NO ONE AGES THAT QUICKLY IN A MONTH!! One even wanted to treat “the fat at my jowls” with Kybella! Even though I’ve shown pictures proving 1 month before the injections there was no sagging skin or “fat under jowls”. It’s almost as if NO doctor knows of this horrible side effect or how to properly fix it.

Additionally, for all of the doctors on here who are stating the facial muscles will return back to normal in 3-5 months, YOU’RE WRONG!!! I’m now at 5 months post injection and my face still looks the exact same. And every single patient testimony I’ve read has stated it took 12+ months for the muscle(s) to start rebuilding.

Any patients out there able to share how long it took for their facial muscles to go back to normal? Was anyone able to find a doctor who figured out a treatment to properly correct the jowl/skin sagging/face hollowness?

Additional information: Oct 2019 was the very first time I received botox at my masseters. And prior to that I’ve only received very minimal botox around eyes, maybe only twice in my life.
