Big Day Is Almost Here.....

I am scheduled for surgery tomorrow at 1:30pm. I also got a call from the anesthesiologist and she recommended I eat a heavy dinner or a late snack because I shouldn't eat anything after 12am. I was really hoping I can get an early morning surgery time, but I didn't...bummer. But it's fine, I am very excited but also nervous. Not soo much about the surgery itself, but the after pain. I will be staying in my sister's house, because there's an elevator there. I will start packing a luggage for the necessary things I should take with me. I also picked up my prescriptions, although I was recommended by the nurse at Dr. Yager's office to try to avoid the pain medication and instead stick to Tylenol Extra Strength. I should only take the hydrocodone if the pain get intolerable. I am very excited, but I am also very nervous about the pain...well let me go get my luggage ready and eat a my last late snack.

A week before surgery....

So I am less than a week away from my surgery. I am trying to get things done before my surgery so I won't have to be stressed. For example my 6-year old started karate camp today. He's super excited, and I am happy for him also cause he won't be bored at hoe during my recovery. My only concern is that my mom will have lots of responsibility with him. I also went to buy some comfy dresses with buttons. My regular clothes is usually tight and the doctor said that won't be a good idea for after surgery. Everything seems so real. I got my post-op appointment already for the day after my surgery at 12pm. I still don't know what time my actual surgery is at. They said they will call me 1-2 days before my surgery. I really want an early morning time. Let's see...hopefully I get it.

Mommy Anxiety

Last Saturday I had a pre-op appointment with Dr. Yager. He was great, he even spoke in Spanish so that my mother, who will be taking care of me after surgery, can understand this procedure. He patiently answered all the questions we had for him regarding my tummy tuck. My mother feels really concern and worried about how my recovery will go. At times, I feel she overdoes it and it's really getting me worried. My fear is how much pain I will have, and feeling very anxious and depressed after surgery. I appreciate my mom watching and taking care of me after surgery, but she tends to be a very nervous person and I do not how that will affect me after surgery.

This is not my first time getting a procedure done with Dr. Yager. I already had a breast augmentation with him and was a great experience. I decided to move forward with a tummy tuck and lipo; from the moment I met Dr. Yager and his staff it's been a delightful moment. They have always been there.
