Update
I wanted to post photos, before and after my surgery with Dan Baker, MD of June 5 2018. I am now 11 weeks out. My face seems to soften and look more and more natural which is exactly what I wanted. I look like me again. I am so glad I chose Dr. Baker and spent the money to get this procedure done right. Please contact me if you have any questions about the process. My ears still have some pain when touched or I lie on them and I have numbness on the sides of my face the just feels weird. I am told the numbness goes away and of course it is better than it was. I will continue to add photos over time to show my progress.
I Could Not Be Happier
Worth every penny. I am 8 weeks out (surgery June 5, 2018) and I look 15-20 years younger and natural. I will be posting before and after pictures. Dan Baker is a real professional in every sense. His staff is efficient and fiercely loyal. They answered all my questions patiently. I have been wanting this procedure after my weight loss of 100 lbs when I was 17 years old and I saw the loose skin on my neck and lower face even then. And now at 55, it no longer felt optional to me. I was feeling bed about my face. I went to him three times in the last 10 years and had appointments scheduled for surgery and canceled. Still he saw me once again and I went through with it.
As an aside: This surgery is not for the faint of heart. The recovery is rough but pain meds not needed at any point. Tylenol was enough. I took a real good turn at about 3 1/2 weeks and felt much better. My ears hurt and I was not be able to sleep on my side for a month. I bought one of those pillows like for a plane with
I did my homework and chose him because of his reputation of producing a natural look. I did not want fake or to look 20. I also had no interest in being best friends: I sent my friend to him last year and then she went to a reputable surgeon who gave her a hug and a kiss and she chose him. My friend is a very pretty woman and is unhappy with her results. She said she will be at Baker's office if she wants everything else done.
Dr. Baker is neither friendly nor unfriendly: he is the quintessential professional and delivered exactly the two things he promised: "I do all my own surgery and you will look natural." I adore this man and could not be more grateful to him. Aging (and in my case the casualties of weight loss) is not easy for us girls. Dan Baker has made it a little easier.
