I booked my consultation with Dr. Schaffner on 2/1/17 (free of charge). I consulted with two doctors prior and I had done EXTENSIVE BA research beforehand so I already knew most of the answers I was going to ask. I wanted to hear each doctor out. I asked Dr. Schaffner what he thought would look best proportioned to my body, he knew exactly the size/look I was going for before I mention it. His confidence in his work (he shows photos during his consultation, n/a on website) and thorough answers made me felt confident that he wasn't trying to just tell me what I want to hear. He's there to perfect his work, no sugar coating! I left the consultation with my mind set on him to perform my surgery. I set my surgery date on March 20, 2017 (I would have chose to get it done the next day if I could but my 22nd birthday was on March 10, you have to be 22 for silicone implants in NYC). Silvia, his office manager communicates all the paperwork, implant sizing dates, blood work and all the fun details with you via email or in person. She was wonderful, always very sweet and helpful! It was my first time using CareCredit and I had no issues financing the surgery. Dr. Schaffner does provide his personal cell and he is available 24/7 (literally!) if he misses your call, he WILL call you back. He is a busy doctor which is not a bad thing! But again, Silvia will be your go-to for any questions pre operation. Everyone else on his team is also great from the post op nurse care to the anesthesiologist. No complaints! The hardest part of the entire procedure was the headache from no eating/drinking prior to surgery. Overall, my surgery experience was excellent. I did not take any painkillers post op. My post op appointments with Dr. Schaffner were easy breezy. My scars are healing well and I was shocked because I don't scar nicely they usually always raise up but the surgical glue he used helped my scar heal together nicely. If you're thinking about booking the consultation, just do it! You won't regret it.
