I had Gynecomastia surgery done by Dr. Blau 5 months ago and the results were incredible. I live in NYC so there are tons of surgerons to chose from but everything I read pointed me in the direction of Dr. Blau. His office is a very quick convienient train ride away from Grand Central station. From the start at my consultation visit I felt like I had made the right choice in choosing my surgeon. All my questions were answered (I always ask a million questions) & all my concerns were addressed by Dr. Blau. I never felt rushed during the visit which I truly appreciated. The day of the surgery everything went perfectly. The office staff was incredible, so nice & accommodating. Everything was explained to me in detail every step of the way. I remember talking to the anesthesiologist and the next thing I remember I was in the recovery room on this big comfy recliner chair with my compression dressing on. They told me the surgery went great. I was not in any pain whatsoever, just sleepy. I rested in the recovery room for about two hours. The staff was once again great, kept me company & gave me snacks. I took an uber home and started my recovery. My surgery was on Thursday. From Thursday- Sunday I just laid around and watched tv and movies, tried to take it easy. I did not have to take pain medication once, not even Advil. The hardest part for me was taking it easy. I felt pretty much fine but I didn't want to be walking around and risk my results, so I forced myself to relax. I went back for my follow up Monday and the dressing was removed. A bit of swelling & bruising but it looked phenomenal after only a few days. I went back to work that Monday. I was back at the gym in 3 weeks doing light cardio exercise, and back to normal in 5 weeks. After about a month my swelling & bruising was gone. I went to my follow up appointments as scheduled and now after 5 months I can say that I am blown away with my results (and I am a perfectionist). I had Gynecomastia since I was probably 14. Now that I am 25, my only regret is not doing this sooner. I am so much more confident now. I can finally wear fitted shirts, go to the beach & much more. If you are even thinking about getting surgery, just make a consultation with Dr. Blau. This experience changed my life & I am so happy with the results. 10/10 would recommend.
