Father Forgive Me For the Occasional Doughnut

Father Forgive Me For the Occasional Doughnut

I've been pretty thin all my life but started gaining weight in my midsection and couldn't take it off by just diet and exercise. I did research into various options - natural and cosmetic - for losing stomach fat. I decided to try the non-invasive methods because the thought of going under the knife and all the potential issues that may arise didn't seem worth it to me. Anyway, I decided to try coolsculpting after reading some reviews, watching videos of the procedure and reading "claims" that the pain would be "minimal to non-existent" and that there would be "no downtime."
I chose to do the procedure at a spa that had specials going on all their treatments. The staff that attended to me was professional and friendly and assured me that the procedure would work and in the very unlikely chance that it didn't, they would send my before and after photos to coolsculpting so that they can decide whether or not I was owed a do-over.
The procedure started with the technician assessing my stomach to determine how to place the suction handles and then I was told to lie down and then the horror began.
Once the cold gel was applied and the suction grabbed my fat, I knew it was a mistake, the pain I felt was unbearable and I went cross-eyed. The technician was good at telling me to breathe and relax and that the pain would subside after a bit - it did but a fresh hell was upon me after the session was over and the area had to be massaged to help breakdown the fat crystals.
After the procedure, I was told to wear spanx so that my stomach wouldn't jiggle, which would help reduce the pain. Going home was a nightmare, I had to take baby steps and my stomach was bruised and bloated (which is normal, by the way).
The week that followed was unlike anything I've experienced in my life - I searched every pharmacy for medication that would take the pain away - which felt like a thousand pins stabbing my abdomen repeatedly. Walking was hard, going to and staying at work was hard, and forget hanging out with people because my mind was fixated on the pain I was going through. I felt like I was being punished for every piece of junk food I'd ever put in my mouth.
After doing more research I found that using ice packs helped to suppress the pain and within a week, I was feeling much better - the bruising and bloating had also subsided - and I was ready to see what my new stomach looked like.
6 weeks later, no difference. I decided to give it another month, still no difference!!! You mean I paid money and endured gitmo levels of pain to be left with the same amount of fat??? Oh, hell no!
I tried reaching out to spa jolie over 20 times (yes, you read that right) and they would not give me solid answers and sometimes they wouldn't even return my calls. When they finally responded to a bad review I'd left them, the manager claimed that they had been in touch with coolsculpting and the company had refused to let them give me a do-over. I didn't believe her, so I contacted coolsculpting and their customer service was just as shoddy as spa jolie's was.
I will never do this procedure again and I urge others to seek alternative treatments - don't waste your money and your time.
