My nose wasn't horrendous to begin with, but as time went on I felt there was some room for improvement. I didn't want a drastic change, just a refinement of my bulbous tip and a more elegant look. It was extremely important to me that the results be subtle and natural looking, as I had/have zero intention of telling anyone that I've had work done (and that includes pictures on this site, sorry :/). After weeks spent researching plastic surgeons online, Dr Loeb's name kept coming up again and again as one of the best nose doctors in NYC. For a brief time I was toying with the idea of getting holiday surgery and flying somewhere to get the job done on the cheap and away from prying eyes, but fortunately sanity kicked in and I decided it wasn't worth the risk. This is my face, after all, and it's pretty important that you get the job done right the first time. After meeting with Dr Loeb for a consultation and getting to know his staff, it was clear that he runs a well-regarded, professional office, and I felt completely comfortable choosing him as my surgeon.
I am now just shy of 5 months post op and I have to say that he did a beautiful job. In the weeks and months following the surgery I was on this site nearly every day with new questions and new scares, there are so many changes that will happen to your nose while it's healing, but I managed to stay calm by reading other's experiences here, as well as trusting the expertise of Dr Loeb. He wasn't the cheapest doctor out there, but then again do you *want* the cheapest? I can now honestly say that he was worth every penny - my new nose is nearly identical to the one he created for me during my consult, it fits my face, looks completely natural, and best of all no one even noticed I had anything done. Not a single intrusive question from coworkers, family, not even my eagle-eyed best friend.
I hope this review is of some help, I've noticed that a lot of what's on here are from people that are weeks rather than months out of surgery. I am happy to report that yes, all the swelling, changes, and worries eventually do go away, and yes, it was absolutely worth it.
