I had a PCA sense peel performed three days ago and was given a pca after peel kitwith specific instructions on how to use the products and what to avoid (sun, retinol products). By Saturday, my skin is inflamed, itching and has raised bumps. It almost looks pitted everywhere, m worst nightmare because the goal of the pca peel was to get rid of some acne scarring. I don't know if this is a normal reaction, but my skin looks 100 times worse than before. Btw... I have no peeling as of yet.

See a dermatologist instead of an esthetician. But i am sure the bumps will go away. They always do. You may have had a reaction to the chemical. Very few get good results from spas. They just are not trained enough. See a dermatologist asap!

Hi! I did not go to the dermatologist because I decided to wait a couple of days and the rash is almost gone. I'm going to post an update.

I a, a licensed Aesthetician that performs PCA peels. The rash you are referring to will go away and it is a reaction of your peel. Keep your Aesthetician updated on how you are healing. It is important to know how the client is healing. If you had the Vit A booster you may want to leave that out next peel. Good luck and use that post peel kit!

Scary rash after chemical peel

So I reached out to the spa personnel that included the manager to get some idea about why this happened and according to them, this is a normal reaction for some people. I was advised to wait a few days, which I did. I'm happy to say that most of the rash is gone and my skin did go through some pretty extensive peeling. I have to say that the left side of my face looks pretty clear, but the right side is still pretty much the same pre peel so I cannot say if it was worth it yet.
