Got the results back from the culture that the PS took from the stitch abscess and it was positive for strep. Already on the antibiotics, and am cleaning the incision & changing the packing daily. Hope this clears up soon.....
Also sick of the swelling at the end of the day, but I keep looking towards the final results so I will try to continue to be patient.
Going to post more current pics either this evening or tomorrow.

Went back to PS yesterday & I have a stitch...

Went back to PS yesterday & I have a stitch abscess. The stitch did not want to dissolve & did not want to come out either. Thought my recovery was seeming to go to easy LOL!!! Anyway, the PS numbed the area, cut into the incision & was able to get the stitch. Now on a round of antibiotics for 10 days & I have an open incision that is packed with gauze. Went this morning to have the gauze removed & replaced. Go again in the morning. Will post update after that appointment.

1st day back at work today. Definitely more swollen than this morning. Side is still hurting. PS office said to to try warm compress to try to bring stich to surface. Hope it will come to the surface soon so the incision can heal.
Really glad it was a warm day here, was able to wear a really comfortable dress. Can't even think of putting on pants...unless they are PJ's or sweats LOL!!!

Did you not have any drains put in? I don't think I've seen anyone without drains. I hope you're feeling great!

I had drains, they were on my hips. If you look at my 5 day Post-Op pic (side view) you can see the gauze where the drain is.

After the swelling has gone down you gonna look great, I did my tummy tuck a yr ago, best decision ever although iv gained weight im still very happy with the results, no stretch mark or pouch hanging.

I definitely know I made the right decision and will be happy with my results......patience is just not one of my better qualities LOL.

I'm doing good, but have developed a stitch abcess. Went to the PS last week b/c one of the dissovable stitches just didn't want to dissolve. They got it out, but when I went back today the area was more inflammed and the PS had to numb the area, cut deeper into the incision where the 1st part of the stich was removed and he got the rest of it. The area is now packed with gauze strips & I have to go the next two days and have it repacked. I am also on antibiotics now.
I do have to say though that besides this, the recovery was not real bad.

I'm doing good so far! Scars look pretty good I would say! Can u see red dots on the sides of your incision where very stitch went in? I can and wonder if that's gonna scar too! My scar is flat and soft everywhere but right in the middle where it goes through my pubic hair,it's like a hard rope there but doesn't look infected or anything! My scars seem to have gotten redder the past week too! What did you stitch abcess look and feel like when it started out?

It started as a painful lump. My PS suggested a warm compress to try to draw out the stitch so that it could be removed, but that didn't work. When I went last week it was finally where they could get it. Unfortunately there was still a piece that they couldn't get & did not know it was there til I went today.
