In 2013, I had a gastric sleeve and have lost 75 pounds. When I was heavier, I was self conscious about having a double chin. With the weight loss, the chins were gone and replaced with a turkey neck. It was depressing. My wonderful hubby of 39 years gave me the best gift ever, a lower face, neck and arm lift (reveiwing that later). I immediately knew who I wanted as my surgeon, Dr Ali Sadeghi. He did a beautiful job on my breast reconstruction after my mastectomy and I knew I could trust his skill and expertise with my face.

The facelift was not a bad surgery. I love that it was outpatient and I could recover at home comfortably. Although bandaged and swollen, I could see I had just 1 chin and no more turkey neck! I developed a rather large hematoma which subsided after Dr Sadeghi lanced it. I went to a wedding of a dear friend 9 days after surgery and people could not tell I had just had surgery unless they were right on top of my incisions.

It is very important to be comfortable with the surgeon. It is crucial you and your doctor are on the same page as to what you want done as well as any expectations you havd about the surgery or revovery. I was in Walmart the day after surgery. I did get more than a few stares but I knew what I was going to look like inside and was fine. Here are a few pictures for you to see how you may look immediately after surgery.
