57 Y/o, Saying Goodbye to Sagging Neck, Jowls & Chipmunk Cheeks - New Orleans, LA
ORIGINAL POST
Hoping to get rid of my sagging neckline! I am...
WORTH IT$14,000
Hoping to get rid of my sagging neckline! I am petite and 115 pounds; however, my face makes me look heavier. My mother had a FL at 57 and now I am tomorrow. Undergoing the procedure by local anesthesia and numbing injections by a very skilled surgeon in the New Orleans area, so I am expecting great results. A little nervous about what I will experience, although I am capable of handling discomfort and mild pain. Not at all worried about being awake. Any suggestions from anyone who has been in my shoes would be helpful!

Sorry, hit the wrong button..Nananna posted a review, it provides details of her experience, much like yours.. She had a great outcome! I think, her review, may be titled "63 Years young, in Ashville, N.C. "
I'm planning a FL in the fall... Will be thinking of you tomorrow and looking forward to updates... Thanks so much for sharing!

5 Days Postop Facelift
Surgery under local anesthesia (valium and numbing injections) was a breeze! Felt no pain. I was more anxious about the numbing injections and have to say, those didn't bother me at all due to my excellent surgeon's techniques. The first few days had facial swelling and bruising which I expected;mild discomfort, but nothing that Tylenol didn't relieve. Soft food diet. I have been sleeping elevated in a recliner. All the posts found on this site had helped me prepare for this surgery and after care. I'm hoping my postings will help others, too! I expect healing will take weeks and is not be instantaneous. I'm also missing out on French Quarter Fest this weekend and probably Jazz Fest later this month, but know it will be worth while to refrain from salty food and sunshine!

Eight days will be go by fast. I recommend getting things done such as grocery shopping. I stocked up on plenty soft food, Slimfast, etc. The first couple days it was difficult to get straw through my teeth. I also recommend getting a child's toothbrush so you can brush you back teeth without opening your mouth too wide. Remember, some people just like to complain and want to report every little discomfort. Don't let everything you read on the Internet scare you. Some people did not research their doctors and really want next day results. It take a few weeks to heal. I am 7 days post op. Swelling has started decreasing. Bruising on chin still purple. Maybe I will go back to work on Monday. Good luck!

1 week postop Facelift, neck lift, lateral brow lift and fat transfer to face
Today I went to have my stitches and staples removed. Before I went, I took two Tylenols. There was hardly any pain although there were a couple stitches around by ears that pulled and I said "ouch." However, it wasn't really painful, just a tug that I felt. The staples came right out. I still have some more stitches that will be removed next Monday. Everyday I see improvement and my doctor said I'm doing great as far as healing.

Inabout two weeks when the swelling and bruises have gone away. I'll post my before and after pictures. Healing photos I really don't want anyone to see.

Isn't it wonderful? I think the period before the surgery is our biggest stress point. Once you are in post op mode it is like a weight taken off your shoulders. Full recovery does take long and we all whine about being patient (me included) but this is part of the process. You will have ups and downs, but in the end you will be over the moon happy. Good luck.

Was thinking about getting a brow lift. Was wondering if you had any bad side effects like hair loss or nerve damage?
April 18, 2015
I have read a lot of good reviews on here about brow lifts. On the other hand the negative reviews on it scares me to death! Got to tell you I am so confused on what I want to do.

Two weeks and I feel fantastic. Slight tightness and swelling, but that is to be expected. Scars are healing beautifully. I feel confident enough now to post a picture. My results are very natural, not pulled to tight.
I'll be thinking of you tomorrow! Any idea how long your surgery is supposed to take?
Today! Eeek!
