MASSIVE improvement over the past week

Today marks 8 weeks post-Botox and my face is almost completely better. Actually, I think THIS is what I actually wanted the results to look like. I can move my eyebrows up and down (albeit less than I could without Botox), but my eyelids aren't hooded and sad looking and the lines in my forehead are still gone. Were these results worth it? Hell nooooooo! I will seriously never get Botox ever again. This was a failed experiment that made me really unhappy about my appearance for over a month. I may add another update in a few months once the Botox is really 100% gone, but I'm feeling like my old self again and it is SO RELIEVING. I hope my regular updates prove to be as helpful for others as Tesssa's post was for me. If you're suffering from bad Botox, just know that it really is temporary. You WILL heal with time!

Eye shape finally recovering

Today marks 6 weeks post-botox. My eyes aren't as improved as I was hoping they would be at this point, but they are definitely softening ever so slightly. I can finally wear some eyeliner again, which makes me feel much more like myself. I'm really happy to see incremental improvement each week. My eyes look much worse in the morning when I first wake up due to normal puffiness/swelling. The Botox definitely exacerbates this and makes it look much worse. Usually, by the end of the day my eyes look much more open and, dare I say, normal. I can see a glimmer of my "old" face starting to peek through. I can't wait to have all of this poison out of my body.

Improvement, or just acceptance?

I'm officially 4 weeks post today. I'm really okay with the eye hooding now. I don't think it looks as severe as it did when the Botox first started to take effect. I can move my brows up ever so slightly--not enough to show my lids, but just a little so I can tell that things are starting to improve. I can't wait to be 6 weeks out. That seems like the first big marker where people really see improvement. I'm still really bummed about not being able to do any eye makeup beyond mascara. I've been thinking about trying eyelash extensions to put some softness and femininity back into my eyes. I've never gotten them before because I always wore too much makeup so they would have fallen off too quickly. Now seems like a perfect opportunity...so, silver linings? I will continue to update as things progress. I hope someone in the same position finds this thread and it helps them. It's really traumatic to suddenly lose the facial features you've had your whole life. Luckily, this is completely temporary. I really wish there was a reversal agent available for poorly placed Botox.

I really don't view my negative experience as the fault of my practitioner. I was given a very thorough consultation, and I feel I made this choice 100% voluntarily. I just don't think this treatment was right for my body or face structure. I will absolutely never do this again, but I really don't have anything negative to say about the practitioner.
