Hello I am going in tomorrow to have the sleeve...
Hello I am going in tomorrow to have the sleeve done. I have so many thoughts going through my mind. I am 5'8 250lbs I am sad that I have come to this point and upset that I am unable to do this with diet and exercise. I have just gotten to a point that I am tired of the weight going up and down. I would loose 20lbs then gain back. I guess I want permanent results and I feel this is permanent. My other emotion is excitement for the loosing weight....or what is my life going to be in 5 years? I'm scared if I gain the weight back :( it's like I don't trust myself to change. Sorry I'm not showing my face. Only my husband knows. No other family or friends. Oh yea and I am a nurse so all my fears of post op complications are going through my mind. Lol
Post op day 1
I'm sleeved! It's uncomfortable at this stage. I'm still in the hospital leaving tomorrow. I'm on clear liquids and when I drink the pain is around my chest It last maybe few second . Wondering if anyone has felt this?
10 day Post op visit to MD
I started at 250 my weight was at 235 today at the MD office. My bandage were removed and I met with the dietician to move on to phase 2. I was so excited to have something different. I made butternut squash soup and it was delicious. I added peanut butter to my shake but it was to heavy. I was too full. I've had one really bad episode of heart burn where I was going to drive myself to ER but I knew they would do nothing for me so I just walked and walked took gas ex. It finally went away. Overall I'm really happy I did this I just want to get into a routine of eating regular foods. Soon enough. The doc also mention this is critical 2 weeks because this is where people get dyhdrated because they stop drinking fluids because there too full with foods. I'm nervous but I'm keeping an eye on it. This is it so far
