Glad to see your progress on both your post op healing and your BII. So encouraging. May I ask who did your surgery please? They look so good. Thanks.

You scars are AMAZING!!

Hi., I read your explant surgery story; I am so sorry that you got ill. I have a friend who got BA at age 40. By age 50, she was very ill and had developed RA and is on chemotherapy now every day of her life to be able to move. When she tries to get off the chemo, her joints lock up to the point where she cannot move. However, she will not have her implants removed. She is very vain; And none of us can say definitively whether or not implants cause illness; however, I do believe that any foreign body can cause a reaction that can set into motion a series of unfortunate events in people that are sensitive to substances. It's just like some people have allergies, and some don't.
I think you have nice breasts, and you did not need the implants to begin with. I think you look great, compared to a lot of women on here whose breasts are fairly damaged by the implants once they are removed. I am glad you are feeling better and are comfortable and happy with your explant. I hope you continue to improve.

Keep posting,
Txmom

2 month update

It's been 2m thought I'd share some new info and update. Everything has healed without any issues. The scars are small still a bit reddish. No pain and I'm back to exercising. It's really amazing how our bodies heal and work. My breasts basically look the same as before getting implants. I was worried about stretching and sagging but they bounced back and firmed up really nicely. At first they were quiet flat and they surely fluffed up. Very happy with my results and decision. I will say I did go gluten free due to celiac. I am not sure if it was a reason I wasn't feeling well along with the implants that made my body work harder. I do believe it was related or triggered by my implants. Either or I do not regret removing them. I also lost weight that I had suddenly gained after getting breast implants and couldn't loose. My body has changed so much and I am back to myself. It feels like someone let out all the air in me and I deflated. Feeling so much lighter and comfortable again. With my journey I really just discovered implants weren't for me despite wanting them so badly for many years. I hope that my story has helped someone out there as this site and many other women's stories has helped me personally. Oh I will add I do feel 90% better and I'm sure I'll get to 100% it's only been 2m after all!

How are you doing now? I just had explant surgery 2 days ago. I had Silicon implants for 4 years. Three months ago I started having severe pain in my shoulders, arms, and wrists. Also have swelling in my fingers so much so I can't make a tight fist or wear rings. All my bloodwork came back normal. I've had an MRI, also normal. I was hoping explanting would make these symptoms better, but I haven't seen a difference. Hoping detox and time will help. My rheumatoid dr wants to put me on Methotrexate which I am afraid to take. Hoping it doesn't come to that...

Hey I'm doing great thanks. Congrats on your recent explant. I would give it some time and allow your body to heal/recover along with a healthy diet. I think patience is key and a positive mind. It took about 1.5m for my joint pain to really improve. It still flares up at times but it's so much better. However I was diagnosed with celiac which I'm seeing a specialist for very soon. Which I also believe is related to many symptoms that I've been experiencing. I'm just very relieved to get to the bottom of my health and getting my life back. Did you remove your capsules? I hear a lot of controversial opinions about it.

Thank you for your reply! I am trying so hard to stay optimistic and positive. Hearing you have improved gives me hope. Yes, I had my capsules removed. However, my dr did not remove them entirely. Some of the capsule was stuck to my chest wall. He said it was too risky to scrape that part off.

1 week Post-Explant Today!

Yesterday was my post op visit, and everything looks great and is healing well. Today I stopped at the mall to picked up some push up wireless bralettes. I won't really be using them just yet.

I've been eating clean and detoxing, and taking supplements. Energy level is up, brain fog gone, headaches have drastically decreased. I used to have more bad days than good or let's just say ok days. Now I have good days and and less bad days. I still get very tired at times and the joint pains and muscle aches are still present. But hey it's only been a week and I'm already improving little at a time!

This site has helped me so much in my journey and I think it's due to all the brave women posting their stories and photos that I was able to jump on the bandwagon so quickly and explant. It has helped me educate myself and mentally prepare myself of what the outcomes can be. What to expect and that you can have great results without a lift!

Thank you everyone for your support and kind words :) brighter days are ahead!

Hi Kimbie, I have been taking a multi-vitamin, b12 complex, probiotic, biotin, turmeric capsules, and for now extra Vitamin D since I currently have low levels. I also add vitamin c powdered crystals and spirulina powder to my smoothie in the mornings. Once I completely regain my health I will cut down on some supplements. But for now it's really helping boost my immune system and the healing process. I was contemplating on taking some Collagen pills for the skin and help it tighten up. There are different supplements out there and I think it all depends what you need. I actually wrote down some more that I initially wanted to take for my recovery however I didn't want to over do it. I eat very clean and drink lots of water/lemon water, and a plain yogi detox tea. I've never had such a strict diet before but now wanting to detox my body after removing my implants it's very necessary. And I believe is the only reason why I'm so dedicated and focused in order to get my health back on track. Are you looking to explant?
February 3, 2017

Unfortunately most will deny implant illness. Both surgeons made that clear to me. However you can still proceed with the best possible way to explant and also find the right surgeon for you. The only doctor that believed me about BII is my general doctor. I hope you fond a surgeon soon so you can start your recovery too :)
