I am 26 years old. I have three children. I have always been between 115-125, size 0-2. I am also 5'4.

I honestly had a small amount of fat in the lower part of my abdomen. If I wore a dress I would suck it in and I would look like I had a flat and fit stomach. But I didn't want to have to suck it in anymore. I tried so hard to work it out but I still had a tiny amount of fat in that spot that would bulge over slightly when I wore pants.
I thought that this would be the answer. I read so many reviews from this site and most led me to believe that this was worth a shot.

I went to my surgeons office and was evaluated by a PA. There are several sizes and she put the large on my left side on March 3, and the next day, on my right.

The reason I went back the next day was because I had fear after the first that something was not right, and after reading reviews online that night, I went to go back in order to make the stomach look even.

After the first treatment I was in excruciating pain. I have had a c-section in the past and a breast lift and neither were as painful as what happened here. I hunched over to walk all night both days. It was absolutely terrible. I tried to suck it up because I actually do have a high tolerance of pain but I just felt like my muscles were not right either. I felt like the left treatment pulled fat along with muscle outward and same with the right. I was told by the PA that it does not take muscle in, but what if this large suction did...
I informed her of my pain.

A few days later I started having terrible migraines and high fevers of 103. I never have migraines so this was new. It lasted for four days and I went to the ER: I informed them that a week prior I had two coolsculpting procedures and that my stomach is still in pain.

I was sent home with no answers and pain medication. Two days later I had such a high fever that I passed out and went to ER again. After pain medication I again, informed the doctor that I had a cool sculpting procedure. He did not know what it was. After I explained it, he said that he does not know enough about it and will have to look it up.
That's when he decided to do a Spinal Tap on me.
He went in wrong.
I was discharged two hours later with no answers and tingling in my legs.
I went home anyway, and within thirty hours my walking had gotten worse and I couldn't see or hear. Was rushed via ambulance to another hospital. I had three blood patches done on my back. This was not your average spinal headache and CSF leak. This was terrible. The headaches had gotten better, however, my ability to walk was still poor and my fever was still there, but slowly getting better. I was sent home on a walker 8 days later. I was home for about 6 days before being rushed back to the hospital having trouble breathing. I was diagnosed with a Pulnonary Emobolism. Another 10 days in the hospital.

This may be a long story but all of this connects to my procedure in several ways.
What I can tell you is that my procedure did not work. In fact, I look worse than before I went in.
Did it not work because I was in the hospital for so long? I was eating well, but I was not able to walk or move much so did it not work because of that? Did it not work because my Lymphatic system was compromised?
Did it not work because the suction cup was too large and caused the bulge?

Once I was out of the hospital, I decided to make an appointment. This time with the surgeon. I love him. He is absolutely amazing and he changed my life with my breast lift last year so I fully trust him and his opinion. He had wondered about what had happened to me. He had wondered if there was a connection to the Coolsculpting and my fevers but it didn't go further than that.
As far as how I looked? He did notice that I may need another and told me to wait 2-3 weeks before coming back for a check. I waited the time and went back and he did notice and address my concern. I have bulges on both sides with one side worse than the other. I can't suck it in. So before the procedure I was able to suck in my fat and have it be flat and now it sticks out. I look small, but pregnant from the side. If you press on the bulge you can feel what feels like muscle sticking out. Still some fat there, too.

He had said one more may fix it but that he wanted me to speak with my Hematologist first since I was on blood thinner.

That afternoon I went to my Hematomogist who researched for the week prior all about CoolSculpting. He told me to never get it again. That I could be that one person who had an adverse reaction. He had a theory that the CoolSculpting caused the fevers and headaches because the timing was so close and the fevers and headaches lasted so long, without any other symptoms, aside from the extremely sore stomach. The other is the Pulmonary Embolism.
While it's likely that the PE was caused from a DVT while resting in a hospital bed, it may have been caused by a Fat Emboli that traveled to the lung from Pelvis from CoolSculpting We do not know for sure nor is there a way to figure out if it was caused by CoolSculpting or the Lumbar Injury.
The same week I was with my Hematologist, I was re admitted to the hospital with worse pain in my back. The punctures are still not healed and there is a fluid collection still in my spine. The blood thinner would have continued to cause a bleed internally. I was taken off of blood thinners.

Now that I am off blood thinners I could probably get the procedure now to fix the bulge. However, I will not be taking that chance ever again. I don't know how to fix my stomach but I can assure you that CoolSculpting is not the answer for me. While dieting and exercise seems helpful, I'm not really allowed to exercise now because of my injury. I am limited in movement and this injury has nearly destroyed my photography business.

I do believe there is a good chance this all started with CoolSculpting.

Any ideas on what to do with my stomach? I had an amazing breast lift I will be reviewing soon, but now I feel bad about going near a bathing suit because of my stomach. I fixed one thing and now I feel like I messed up another part! I feel like I'm wearing large shirts and dresses to cover up what it looks like. I didn't have to do that before this procedure.
