Dr. Mahira Tanovic Don't Believe All the Negative Reviews

Hi ladies, I've decided to write this review solely based on my own experience with Dr. Tanovic. My surgery was over 6 months ago I'm doing good. Dr. T was awesome, she stayed in communication with my family after every surgery, she made sure I was surrounded with nothing but the best doctors as my case was very severe. Everyone in her office was so nice and the nurses spoke highly of her. Even one couple who were husband and wife nurses told me that Dr. Tanovic took on their daughter case who has special needs and was disfigured after another Dr. cancelled due to the severity of her case Dr. Tanovic took on the case and told them dont worry about the bill. Wow, I was blown away to hear that story and that only confirmed what I already knew, I was in good hands and God led me to her. Later that week The wife of that same couple held my hand and cried with me as they removed my bandages to change my dressing. Even when that same nurse wasn't on my floor or working she would send her husband there to check on me. The cleaning staff and some of the other nurses even prayed with me. I was truly blessed to have met so many wonderful people during this process. My first time meeting Dr. Tanovic she hugged me and wiped my tears as I cried when I had to get undressed in front of her. She then asked why are you crying and I told her I was too embarrassed to show her what I have done to my butt. She hugged me even tighter, wiped my tears and told me don't worry this is why you're here, for me to help you and we're going to get through this together. I was emotionally overwhelmed. What she didn't realize, was that I had noticed here stood a white woman who had just wiped the tears off the face of black woman, who was a complete stranger with her bare hands. She did so without hesitation and till this day I never told her that moment I knew she was heaven sent and those tears she wiped away was from years of hurt, pain and self hatred I had been harboring and shame of what my body had become. At that moment she wasn't a doctor to me and I wasn't her patient it felt surreal I kept thinking how could this professional doctor and White woman care about this Black girl who she never met and held on to me as if I was her own daughter. It was really emotional especially because I missed those kind of hugs from my deceased mother. Till this day she still treats me the same, I've made every follow up appointment and pray soon to have my reconstruction. I havnt been on here much because physically, mentally and emotionally I had to heal. It wasnt until I saw and read some of the reviews that they were saying about Dr. Tanovic. At that moment I knew I had to write my story. With that being said I have honestly spoken from my personal experience and ask that you personally go, meet with here and form your own opinion based on your case. As I've stated before everyone's case is not the same and nor will everyone's removal process have the same experience or outcome. All I ask is that you not judge her solely based on the recent negative reviews. Dr. T has worked hard for her practice and dont deserve that. Dr. Tanovic has an excellent reputation and now its being damaged because she decided to open her heart and doors to help us. THANK YOU DR. TANOVIC FOR HELPING ME YOU SAVED MY LIFE!!!!!!
