Office and staff were very professional, and "Gabby", the PA who is the "Injection Specialist" was wonderful. Explained the procedure, honestly discussed what she could and could not do for me with filler, and was terrific before, during and after the quick and painless procedure. She is a perfectionist and kept checking her work from all angles and tweaking it until it was perfect. Highly recommend!

You look awesome. Only one vial?
May 4, 2017
Yes, one vial: 1/2 vial per eye. Properly placed, a small amount can make a big difference! And it's been just about a year now and there's been no regression - I'm thrilled!

Wow! That's great. I got 1/2 each eye today. I think I need more. Don't see s big difference.

Give it two weeks.... Restalyne is supposed to attract and retain water so it might get better with time. If you don't see improvement in two weeks, then you might want to go back again. Good luck!

The injection specialist explained to me that she could easily take care of the trough area under the inner half of my eyes (closest to my nose) with a half vial (1/4 vial per eye) or, if I wanted her to work on the outer half of my eyes, too, I should opt for a full vial (which I gladly did). Gabby did an excellent job of filling all my trouble spots and made sure to not waste a drop of Restylane - she found a place for the full vial and made sure I got my money's worth. :) I'll attempt to post before and after photos.

Amazing result! You have inspired me to pursue the same treatment.

Good luck with your procedure - just make sure you go to someone who does the under-eye area frequently and you'll be fine. It's a tricky area of the face for injections so you want the most experienced provider you can find. This is not the place to look for a bargain...... you get what you pay for (although in my case I thought the price was VERY reasonable!)

Takes years off. No more tired look. Something I must do.

I can't begin to tell you how much this simple little change has changed my life. I actually now look forward to putting my make-up on in the morning and facing the world, instead of starting each day depressed and defeated and feeling like I'd rather not see anyone. People have not only noticed that I look better but they comment that I have a new bounce in my step and am in such a good mood all the time now!

Time for a minor touch-up
SueAndHerZooMarch 7, 2017
Just thought I'd stop by and update on how long the filler treatments last. I have gone a full 9 months without noticing ANY return of the tear troughs, but am going in to see if there is any touch-up needed this week, only because I'm going away for 2 weeks soon and want to look my best. What I am noticing is a slight return of darkness under my eyes, so I can only guess that's shadowing and probably means some of the filler has been reabsorbed. I don't think I'll need much (if any) but thought I'd check in with the specialist to see if this is something we should "tweak" now or wait until I notice more regression.
What have others done - do you wait until you're back to needing a full vial or do you get minor adjustments as soon as you see some change?

I just did Voluma in my cheeks and will be going back in a few weeks for more in my cheeks and Rest in my eye troughs like you. I'm so happy to hear yours turned out well. I keep, reading about others who have t had a good experience and I am getting a little nervous.

Wow - great minds think alike..... when I went to see if I needed trough touch-up, she said it looked so good we should wait. But that morning I had noticed "marionette lines" near my nose and mouth and asked what could be done about those. She suggested cheek filler so I had her do it that day....problem solved. :)

I just went for a consultation for the undereye area and possibly Botox for downturned mouth corners. I was told that I would need 1 vial for each eye and then they recommended I do my cheeks as well. This is with a doctor but not a plastic surgeon. He then recommended a few other procedures that would be beneficial. He then asked if I wanted to do a treatment the same day. I said no I was just Beginning the process of looking into this.
Then he left the room and a woman comes in to go over everything with me. Next thing I know we are up to 6 vials. At $800 each. And the total of all of the plan is $7000. And then she starting talking to me about "memberships" of $5000 and $10000. I said I would have to think about this. All of this was hand written on a piece of white paper. Which she gave to me.
I walked out to my car where my husband was waiting and almost started crying. I told him I am a train wreck. I felt worse about myself than I did before going in. I so wanted to fix my eyes.
I contacted another doctor who is a plastic surgeon and one of the best. His office was very transparent about the costs which were even higher ($1500 per vial) plus $250 consultation fee.
So now I am so discouraged. I read your review and that is more what I was expecting cost wise. I am in Canada and I wish I had looked into this when our dollar was at par to the US dollar since it seems cheaper there. I don't want to go to the cheapest just because of the price and then end up as a horror story on here.

Wow, I'm so sorry your first two experiences (consultations) were so negative and that they ended up making you feel worse about yourself. Shame on them! You were very wise to walk away from both of those... they seem more concerned with money-making than patient satisfaction and building a relationship. Perhaps try a spa for recommendations for an experienced "injection specialist"? You don't need a doctor to do these - just someone who has done a LOT of them and knows the different products, the different challenges we all have, etc. I wish you luck and feel sure you will ultimately get what you want - don't give up!

In Canada filler injections can only be done by a doctor (or a nurse I believe). They don't have to be a plastic surgeon and a lot of doctors here are opening medi spas because how much they can earn as a doctor is "limited" due to how are health care system works. So paramedical services is a way for them to make money.
Going over the border to US is an option but right now our dollar is only worth about 65 cents so that makes the costs similar.

So I ended up getting the filler done. You should be able to see my review if you click on my name. I don't think my results are as good as yours. What happened with your follow up appointment? Did they do a top up ?

I looked at your photos and see a BIG improvement, but I can understand you being slightly disappointed - we always expect more. Do yourself a favor and wait two weeks before deciding if you're pleased with the results. I think between the swelling needing to go down and the settling of the tissue and the product, you will have a better idea at the end of two weeks. I actually did go back after two weeks and mentioned that I seemed to like my results better when I was still swollen so I opted to have a small amount of Restalyne Silk added. That was just about a year ago and I still don't need any touch-up in that area. When I went a few months ago I had her do some filler in my cheeks to diminish my marionette lines.... didn't need to touch the under-eye area at all.
Good luck!
Good luck!
Great, thank you for sharing your experience! Do you have any pics you can share too? Love to see your results!
How many units of Restylane did you get?
