Almost 4 months post op

Its been a while. I've done a lot of traveling this summer but everything has healed nicely. I had the bolster in my stomache for a while and really haven't worked out too much so I think I gained a couple of lbs. I was down to 170 but I'm about 174 right now. I'm happy with everything. I may get another lift in 10 years and have a more full look, but I think they turned out nicely.

weekend belly button bolster pain

Dr. Restifo and his staff are the best! I was having some pinching and pain from the bolster in my belly button on Friday. Saturday it got a lot worse, and really hurt so I called the call service. He called me back and told me how to cut it out and remove it. Then I sent a picture to his cell phone. He said it looked ok but told me how to clean it and had me come in today and put a new one in becasue the inside of my belly button was starting to pinch close already and to get a better result it needs to stay in longer. It would definitely close up. This one feels much better. He put it in deeper since that's the big issue. My belly button before my first surgery was a tiny hole. This is just how my body heals. I really feel like I'm in good hands. All my concerns and issues are addressed quickly and everyone is really kind about everything.

2 weeks post op

I had my lasr drain removed finally! It was getting weird figuring out ways to hide it going to class and places. I would tape it to my leg and wear long skirts or stick it in my underwear....like a penis lol and wear long skirts. I'm glad that is over. The one they removed one day 3 came out without barely any pain, but this one today....ouchhhh! Jackie (the nurse) said it's because it's in longer so it tries to form and stick to your body. BTW the nurses and all the workers at Dr. Resitfo's office are so sweet and beautiful and helpful. Don't be afraid to ask questions they are great.

I got my tegaderm removed and all the dried blood cleaned up today. I have to keep the tegaderm on for 2 weeks, then let it dry out with out it on for 2 days, then back to tegaderm. I still have my bolster in my belly button, but the Dr. Wants to ensure a nice innie. I'm glad because I'm sure without it, it would close up again. I guess it's just how I heal because my pre tummy tuck belly button from birth basically was a tiny little hole too.

My boobies and scars are so nice and pretty! Dr. Restifo is meticulous and an artists. He is great at what he does. The lines are so even and I'm only 2 weeks out and the scars are so small and going away. I can't imagine 4 months post, etc when I can use scar cream. I scar horribly too, just another factor with the type of skin I have so this is incredible!

I also asked when I could start doing light Cardio or yoga (I did some very light yoga the other day actually but I won't again for atleast another couple of week) I was told give it a couple of weeks. She said she knows I'm feeling great, and recovering very fast but doing anything too fast could set me back. And we don't want to stretch out my skin to where my scarring stretches before healing properly, and other factors. So have to listen to the doctor no matter how much I want to exercise again. I got it today though after helping out at my son's soccer practice (30 or so, 7 and 8 yr Olds, unorganized but they try) but I'm good at barking orders, motivating, etc. and I was actually showing them stuff before my surgery. Soccer was my sport growing up. But I was sore when I got him with the 2 hours of driving ( 1 there, 1 back) and then going straight to soccer and although I didn't run around, I did slowly chase a few balls and throw some back into the game for them.

Anyway here are some more pictures! I took them fast right before I got back dressed in the doctors office.
