Hi everyone, I wanted to write a post because...

Hi everyone,
I wanted to write a post because this site really helped me when I was making my decision. I had my procedure on 6/1 on my inner thighs and it has been 4 days now. I am still swollen and obviously have not seen any results yet. I am 5'8 with an athletic build and I am muscular. My thighs touch and I have a lower abdomen 'pooch' that really bother me. After lots of research I finally decided to get coolsculpting.

Due to this site I felt very well informed of the side effects and I felt I knew all of the right questions to ask my doctor. After reading so many reviews, I found that the delayed onset nerve pain happened in the abdomen. Originally I wanted to get my thighs and abdomen done, and I was planning on doing my lower abdomen first. I decided to do my thighs instead, and to go back for my abdomen at a later time, to see how painful it was first.

So when I got to my appointment I told my doctor that I had been reading about the procedure and was really worried. She told me that they had 2 cases of this nerve pain, both on day 3, and both patients had the procedure on the lower abdomen. Also both patients had previous surgeries on their stomachs as well. My doctor told me that the late onset pain was very rare. She said if I have any pain their were 2 different types of nerve blocking pain relievers she could provide. One was nuerontin and the other one started with a g.

My doctor used the small applicator, one on each inner thigh, one at a time, and they stayed in place for 60 min. It definitely hurt, a lot. It wasn't bawl my eyes out pain but more take your breath away pain. It hurt more for me on my right thigh. The suction happens fast, but the pain stays for about 15min. Its so cold that it stings. After about 15 minutes I was able to relax and zone out on the tv. I was terrified of the massage from all of the reviews, but my massage didn't hurt at all. Seriously, no pain at all, to be honest it kind of tickled.

My thighs were numb and cold afterwards. I didn't look at them when she did the massage, I waited to look until I was completely done. I couldn't tell at all other than the area was slightly red. My thighs are still numb 4 days later. I have had pain every day as well. They are little stings at intervals throughout the day. I took advil yesterday but other than that I haven't taken anything. So far, if it works, i would say I would do it again. Right now its too early to tell but I will keep up with updates.
