WORTH IT$100
I've purchased unlimited daily treatments with Gentlewaves, a LED light device, for $100/mo. Each treatment lasts less than 1 minute. This is my first time trying this treatment. Eye protection is reportedly not needed, but I've chosen to use goggles. I started out doing a daily treatment, which the salon says is safe, but have decided to cut back to a treatment every 2-3 days, in part because I think this frequency is sufficient. After 6 treatments so far the quickest and most obvious improvement has been reduction of pore size. And I'm beginning to see early evidence of other improvements claimed for this treatment, namely reduction of redness and softening of fine lines in the peri-orbital region. So far I'm pleased with the results and the low or non risk of this treatment is a real plus.

Regret decision of unlimited treatments
fjellyMarch 26, 2015
I now think it was a mistake to have "unlimited" Gentlewaves treatments as the salon promoted and said was safe. After initial positive changes, I now think my skin looks more distressed. I regret not adhering to the limited recommended frequency of once or twice a week with at least 48 hours between each treatment. Since the company that developed Gentlewaves is nolonger in business, it has been difficult to find up-to-date information on the treatment. The best articles I found were:

I wrote the article that leds should be part of every womans beauty routine and have had at least 10 years of consistently using them . It is definitely not correct to overuse them, they dry out your skin and the constant stimulation to create new collagen becomes counter productive and instead starts breaking it down. I use the Quasr Med once a week like they recommend and more causes my skin distress. It needs time to create the collagen and rest. This is true for all treatments that should create collagen. More is not better. Leds give a great result when used correctly and I have a glowing complexion because of them. Spas and salons are trying to make money unfortunately.! Good luck!
That's great, thank you for sharing your experience. Are you taking progress video or photos, as we would love to see your results.
