NeoGen

I had NeoGen done the first time 04/20/2021. It was a new procedure in my doctors office. There was a special to have it done half off if you booked while the “rep” was there. I was having Botox done and had asked about having juvederm done under my eyes. She talked me in to the NeoGen instead claiming no pain or downtime. I am no stranger to having procedures done and was excited about the procedure. I booked for the following week at $1250 for my entire face(half off). I did not schedule any downtime from work, as I was told no pain or downtime. I had 2 joules done over my full face. The pain was intense but tolerable. I was instantly red and swollen and scheduled to work that evening. Thank goodness for face masks! I wore a hat with mole skin taped toward my forehead and a mask for almost a week. It was about a 2 on the pain scale with redness, swelling, and a lot of skin peeling. I waited a few months to see results and saw none at all. 0! I went back to the doctor and she agreed. She asked me to prepare for a few days of downtime and schedule to have it done on higher joules. I was just able to take the time off of work 6 days ago to have it done again. SWEET BABY JESUS! My breast augmentation was less painful! I had 3 joules this time. I prepared myself with pain medication before the procedure and took 4 days off of work. The procedure was almost unbearable! I held my breath and my knuckles were white! There were involuntary tears! I had instant blistering and swelling. The days following were very uncomfortable. Intense burning and swelling. I now know why burn patients are sedated! I kept my doctor updated daily and she just kept advising me to use ice and Aquafor. Day 1 through 4 the pain level was a good 7 because it was relentless. Nothing I did gave me relief. I’ve felt overall unwell since the procedure. I can only guess that my immune system is working very hard to heal so I have an overall unwell feeling. My first trip out was with a hat and a mask on day 4 to the grocery store. I felt nauseated and dizzy part way through. I do not consider myself a wimp when it comes to pain but this was by far a very difficult week. I returned to work on day 5. I still do not in general feel well. I still have blisters on my forehead but the rest of my face is swollen, red, and peeling. My pain is better on most of my face except my forehead. I am pushing though in hopes of wonderful results this time! I had trouble downloading pictures. There is a before/middle/and day 6 pic. I will try to add more detailed pics.
