Botched Facelift
Dr. Madnani preformed a neck lift and deep plane Lower facelift August 6th 2020 that costs me 19,000 dollars. Since then my life has been a nightmare.I opted for surgery because I was feeling very self conscious about my neck and lower face. I choose to take advantage of the fact that I was out of work due to COVID to have this procedure done and get adequate recovery time.I had 2 consultations with Dr. Madnani before surgery 1 virtual and 1 in person. During the consults there were a few red flags for example during the first virtual consultation he was outside I guess running an errand and was rushing through the consult. He then proceeded to end the call and when I called back he said the call was disconnected. The second consult I wished to come in and speak to him in person and address concerns I had about the procedure he said it was unnecessary virtual consultation was enough nonetheless they made an exception and allowed me to come in to see him.Post-op I arrive home feeling ok my daughter goes to the pharmacy to pick up the medications that I must take post op and the pharmacy tells her they haven’t received any prescription. We decide to call Dr. Madnani since it was late and the office was closed I inform him that the pharmacy didn’t receive the electronic prescription. He is hesistent and insists he sent the medications my daughter returns to the pharmacy about 3 times with the same results until he then decides to try sending the prescriptions again which was very unprofessional. On the second day following the surgery while I am cleaning the sutures I notice I’m pocketing fluids to one side of my face. I inform Dr. Madnani and send him photos he says that it’s normal and to give it a few days. The next day I notice it is worsening and I text him again he says that if I want to I can pass by his office and that he will drain it. I am worried so I decide to go to his office that afternoon he drains the fluid that was accumulating and I go home.I go to my follow up appointment to remove the sutures and I comment that I feel the sutures around my ears are not aesthetically pleasing or discreet. A month goes by and I return for a follow up and inform him that I am very unhappy with the results. He is very defensive says that he did all he could and that I was much worst to begin with and shows me before and after pictures. I of course feel awful and the office manager agrees that I have a point and says that she will add a few sessions with ultra therapy and that they will fix the problem. I give them a chance I attend all the sessions of ultra therapy and still no change.Dr. Madnani reassured me and says to give it 6 months to see how much it will improve and that then he will consider surgical correction. The 6 months passed and I was hesitant about having Dr. Madnani operate me again but I read online that it was better to have reconstructive surgery by the same surgeon because they understand better the mistakes they committed and can correct them with little difficulty. In summary the second surgery did nothing to improve the scars and I look exactly the same. I have considered that maybe he didn’t preform the 2nd reconstructive surgery you will see in the pictures attached that there was no difference in my results at all. I inform the office manager that I am extremely unhappy with my results and I underwent 2 procedures that completely botched my face forever. I have succumbed to wearing turtle necks year round and hiding my ears with my hair to hide the atrocious job Dr. Madnani preformed on my face.I blame myself at times because I should of had the procedure done with a plastic surgeon and not a facial plastic surgeon it is not the same!!! Saving some money isn’t worth living with a face you don’t want to see in the mirror. I recommend doing your research and having any plastic surgery done by a actual board certified plastic surgeon. I saw a few reviews of patients with stories similar to mine but ignored them because there were so many “good reviews”. Most of the reviews on his real self page are for Botox, and fillers, etc. Don’t let that confuse and convince you. He is ENT that specialized in facial cosmetic procedures.
