Don’t be so hard on yourself! You look amazing! It took 20 years off! I just had the same lower face and neck with my upper lids 9 days ago and I am hoping for such a great outcome. Not posting anything yet. I will see how it goes. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much! I hope you LOVE your results!! Healing takes TIME. Be patient with yourself. The face is just a sensitive surgery because everyone can see it. Those of us who choose this procedure usually are quite picky about our looks. At least I am. I quit taking so many pictures tho. In the beginning it's great to see how far we've come. However, after a time, for me, I just started judging myself. I do look so much better after ll the work I've done (or paid for actually--hahaha)! Sending love & healing energy your way. Xoxo, Leigh

Yes you are right. I am critical of my looks too. Have had other procedures but the first for my face besides my nose. That was not perfect as I wanted but I still love it more than my old one. Just hoping that anything from this turns out better than I was. Thanks for your positive energy. XOXO Julie

It takes time

I’m sometimes happy with my lower face and neck lift. Sometimes not. It depends on the angle I’m taking a picture of. I will probably have a revision in the future whenever I need a mid and upper lift as well. I’ve had a LOT of plastic surgery. I sometimes think I just need to be satisfied with what I’ve got. Then other times I’m like “nah” keep going. —insert eye roll here —. Ha!!

I hope you are enjoying your results!
Xoxo,
Leigh

I’m SO SO SAD

I believe I need a revision. —insert crying emoji-
I don’t even know about revisions. I have the cobra look and loose skin. But under the skin is super tight —ugh.

You look great to my eyes, but I understand how stressful that must feel.. Have you reached out to your surgeon??

Thank you for your kindness. I have reached out to him. He's really nice. He says (which I think they all say) I'm still healing. He also mentioned skin quality. He said plastic surgery is under the skin. My skin quality is really poor. He said to correct the quality of skin I would need laser or chemical peel. I did the laser under my eyes. And HOLY COW it was tough. Not painful really but the swelling was awful. Plus, my face looked like a monster. This, like all my surgeries, boils down to patience and waiting. :-/

I have been doing research in nauseam! And this was an interesting point on the skin quality… i have had so many lasers and i am not sure i can go through that pain again! How do you feel now that it has been a year? I am eager to hear. Thanks for posting your pics and being so open and honest.

I've realized how IMPORTANT SKIN QUALITY is!! I don't have good skin quality. I'm continuing to do lasers (not the CO2--but the cool peel which is less invasive) and using good products. I'm getting an inner thigh lift in December and I'm thinking of having him laser --CO2--my neck and chest. This is an ongoing battle because we continue to age. I DEFINITELY need/want my neck skin to be tighter. I'm not sure if it's possible. I just tell myself that my neck looks BETTER than before so that's a win! Hope that helps XOXO, Leigh

So sorry you are having problems, I was wondering if you read all the reviews on real self for Dr. Smith? Some of the reviews are very disturbing. If I were you I would go online and read all the reviews and look at the before and after photos! Please keep us updated and I hope and pray you can get the results you were hoping for.

I had surgery with him before. He did my arms--which I love!! He also was the ONLY doctor who didn't make me feel stupid for having extreme anxiety. For that im so grateful. I didn't read the bad review from 2020 because I'd already worked with Dr Smith. I am only 4.5 months out from the surgery. So, I'm hoping that some of the issues I'm not happy with will resolve. I do have TERRIBLE skin. It's very thin and has laxity. There isn't really anything I can do until 1 year anyway. But, I will say that I am sad about my neck. It is just very hard to know what our outcome will be. I DO look MUCH MUCH better than before in my profile. Not perfect (of course I'd like to look perfect --lol) but better. Some people have gone to the supposed best surgeon in the country and have been botched. It's a HUGE risk. Ugh. I wish there were an easy answer to aging. I guess it would be to just love myself the way that I am. Ugh.

I feel exactly the same way. I wanted to be perfect after my FL but I still have some jowling. It reappeared once the swelling went down. It looked great for those 4 weeks, the jawline of my dreams. Only to have it come back and now I still look 61. I also console myself that I look better, if very different from before, My arms are on the list for 2025! You look fabulous but if you feel a revision is needed and you can afford, do it! I’m lucky my surgeon did my surgery really really cheaply and I look better now, if not exactly perfect, it was worth it for me. As you say, the Hollywood surgeons can botch you and as I do look natural if not perfect I can’t really complain. He even threw in a second free fat graft in November lsst year. I looked like a clown for like 3 days lol. I won’t mind a third.

I just finished with an inner thigh lift. It's never ending --hahaha!! Good luck with your arms. I had mine done a couple of years ago.

I have a condition called lipoma so I have them on my forearms and thighs. So although I have some loose skin on my upper legs due to weight loss it’s not really noticeable but will always be a bit jiggly when wearing shorts which I only do at home as I don’t have nice legs. I’ve hidden them since the age of 18.
