Using neospirin at night, and Mederma advanced gel during the day. Here I am two weeks out. The large fabric Band-Aid caused irritation, so I have stopped using the big bandage after four applications. I no longer intend to use bandages to cover my scar. Stopped using antibiotics after five days.

I did my research before having this neck talk and read mostly negative reviews about this exact style of having a neck tuck. I am eight days out from surgery. I had no anesthesia, but rather lidocaine injections as the 2 1/2 hour procedure went along. I was awake the entire time and did not need any cauterization on this procedure. The scar, commonly known as a flat scar is still quite bumpy, but that again it’s only eight days out. During the day, if I have to go out, I cover my scar with bandages. Otherwise, I try to leave it open as much as possible and use mederma advanced scar gel once a day.

Is this standard for any of type of face/neck lift?

If you read negative reviews about that particular style ahead of time, what made you decide to have it done?

I did the zigzag because I didn’t need a full blown lower facelift, and I didn’t want to leave the country. $1800 is a good deal for this procedure since it took 2 1/2 hours for the original procedure and then two weeks later I had revision surgery, which took two hours. I still have the bandages on, so I can’t see the final outcome, but I will post when I am at least one month out from revision. Thank you for your interest.

This is not the standard, but it was the cheapest and the least invasive
