Submandibular Gland Ptosis

ORIGINAL POST

Submandibular Gland Ptosis

I am 9 months post op of a face/neck lift. Neck lift results are sub optimal and have not improved. There is submandibular Right side asymmetry fullness. Is the area SMG ptosis and can it be corrected?

I have same 3.5 months post mini lift.
After my surgery, the left side kept filling with blood so much that the surgeon had to drain it with a giant needle a few times. It finally settled down but I’ve had problems with ugly swelling and aching on that side ever since and it’s been nine or ten years now. The right side is much more attractive than the left side, which always has a slight bulge, and then when it’s triggered so that it swells and aches, it is ugly. I try to hide it with my hair. Three months after my surgery I asked him why that side kept swelling up like a toad, and all he said was, “I don’t know” and changed the subject.
I'm having the same exact issue. It gets worse when the weather gets colder or if dehydrated when traveling. My doctor also said it's not him it's an issue with my gland. I seen a specialist at the MEETH and they says it's not my glands it's the plastic surgery that was causing the asymmetric result. How can we fix this?
Did this ever improve for you and settle with time?
