Forever in Debt to Dr Kremer . A Superbly Talented and Approachable Surgeon.
WORTH IT
I am a completely open and honest person. I hope this review is helpful ,relatable and gives someone who's on the edge of deciding whether or not to have surgery , the courage to go for it.
I have literally never had a single thing done to my body or face, so do not ask me why one morning I woke up and decided to go down the surgery route- I'm still trying to wrap my head around it now.
I had looked at the odd photograph and was really upset about loosing my profile and gaining saggy jowls. I understand at my age it happens albeit didn't want filler or botox. I travel between NY and London all the time and kept looking at women constantly thinking some looked fabulous and others slightly odd but in the back of my mind thought if I really wanted this sorting ,its would probably be via surgery.
I had been appalled by some of my friends stories about their experiences with surgeons in NY, so went back to London in the summer and decided to do some research. I looked online ,as everyone does, and read a plethora of good and not so good reviews about nearly every surgeon. It's a bit like Trip Advisor, everyone has an opinion which differs to others. Its completely individual.
Dr kremer was chosen by me purely based on his experience and expertise in neck lift surgery, no other reason.
If I hadn't liked him or what he said, I would have maybe looked somewhere else ,I am not sure. But Dr Kremer was my first choice, so I made an appointment and thought i'd see what he had to say. I assumed I'd then see a few other surgeons and then make a decision.
On the day of my consultation I went all little 'off piste' with the conversation - Dr Kremer had lived in the same places as me and we talked about NY and Dubai almost forgetting to return to the subject of neck lift surgery ! I felt I'd known him for years which made me comfortable and he told me what he could and couldn't do. He was relaxed and incredibly friendly. Albeit I use the word relaxed, I mean he was approachable in a professional way, which is much more suited to me. I felt intuitively this man certainly knew what he was doing - there was instant chemistry with him and I felt safe.
I am fussy, at times incredibly picky and obsessed with attention to detail and there I was ,in his clinic ,thinking I don't want to see any other surgeons, he's the man for me.
I went to leave the room and then walked back in and asked if he could sort my tummy and perform hip lipo too. I've absolutely no idea to this day what came over me.
I called back after a few weeks and booked the surgery .
On 'surgery' day ( and I know it sounds odd) I didn't have one worry or nerve. I wasn't even apprehensive. I met Dr Kremer who took those gloriously hideous ' before' photos and then walked to theatre. I jumped on the bed chatted to everyone involved and went to sleep.
After surgery I was sick and couldn't eat . I took a while to come round and was left to rest.
I stayed over night and I was completely shocked by the lack of pain. Uncomfortable, as in walking to the loo and getting in and out of bed with limited mobility, plus feeling shattered but no pain. I was cared for during the night and saw Dr Kremer in the morning who was incredibly jolly and kind. Surgery had gone well and I was free to leave.
I got into my friends car wearing a delightful head garment of which my friend couldn't stop laughing and then told me I resembled 'Tiny Winky' . The drive home was fine and once back , I settled in with help from another friend.
My thoughts and opinion.
1. If you want a superb surgeon to perform a Neck Lift ( my tummy and hips look amazing too) then book a consultation with Dr Kremer. I am overwhelmed by the results and couldn't be happier. I don't need anything else to make me happy. I managed to obtain the result i'd hoped for.
2.The recovery was fine . No pain just uncomfortable washing hair and sleeping fairly upright. Compression garments are not for the fashion brigade but if that's all there is to moan about then great.
3. Recovery has been far quicker than anticipated - I had visions of me in bed for a few days watching Netfilx but I was up and about. I did have one day of depression and cried - it came out of nowhere and went as quickly as it arrived.
4.I did bruise but not a lot.
5. I only took pain medication for three days.
6. I did loose some hair.
7. Antoniette , Dr Kremer's assistant, is totally brilliant. Communicative, helpful and kind. She's an asset and I hope she gets a fabulous Christmas gift from him!!! She was reachable 24/7. Amazing.
And now the constructive feedback.
1. Harley Street Village is clearly a place certain surgeons rent out as a whole. A clinic is very different to a hospital. I was a little niave to the difference.
2. I would have preferred a loo in my room- the nearest was a very short walk away .
3. The staff were adorable albeit a couple struggled with English. The Dr on duty was brilliant as were the main nurses. I was seen to within seconds. And I mean, seconds. But, I would have liked everyone to have had a good grasp of the English language.
4. It took three hours to find me a sandwich because everything comes from Pret. The staff ordered me some food but kept telling me there would be a delay. Once it arrived it came as a bagel and it was too difficult to eat. I was starving by this time.
5. The rooms are tired and not remotely luxurious BUT, with only two people on each floor its brilliantly quiet.
So, thats my honest review. I do hope some find it helpful.

hallo dear, do you still like the result of your facelift?
I had a neck lift. I am extremely happy, thank you .

Everyone looks good 2 weeks after the surgery, when the swelling is gone there come another story.
This surgeon left me with a pixie ear after a face lift and when I complained he told me that I consented to it. The same with uppen lids lift - I was left with thick and visible scars and when I complained about them he also said that I consented with it.
It seems to me that this surgeon thinks that once you signed the consent form, he is allowed to be sloppy as long as the result of the sloppiness as covered in his consent forms. This is increadibly deceitful and unprofessional. He is obliged to perform and something like pixie ear is very easy to avoid if you do your job right. The same with the scars. I did not consent to a substandard result.
