3 months out, poor result, poor experience

Dr Yannis came highly recommended and my research indicated he was a well-rated, experienced doctor with nothing but success stories and happy patients. My experience was different. When embarking on this, I valued: 1) a qualified doctor who listened and took into consideration my expectations, 2) communication and responsiveness, 3) medical competence of staff.

First, my consultations with Dr Yannis were rushed, he often yielded to someone else on questions and I was surprised to know he’d made choices during surgery that were not discussed.



On communication, everything from scheduling the surgery to arranging blood tests were impossible to schedule. After having a date for weeks and booking holiday time off, I was told it would need to be moved. I’ve had no less than 5 different points of contact at the office, only 1 returned my emails and calls within a week’s time. As a patient, I had to continually chase to move things forward and proactively arrange appointments and even payments.



Most of this would be forgiveable if the result justified it, but three months out, I have a profile indistinguishable if not worse due to sagging and scarring. I’ve followed post-Op care instructions to the letter but have been told to wait for results to manifest at 6 months.



In summary, Dr Yannis has a practice that has mastered digital and search marketing to build a clientele and reputation, but doesn’t deliver on the experience or results. I’ve been emailed more by his office to leave this review than to respond to questions about surgery preparation and post-Op care (a tone deaf request after I’ve communicated my disapointment with the surgery). For anyone considering him as an option, you need a surgeon not a marketeer.
