Great experience with Dr. Caloca. I spoke with three plastic surgeons in Tijuana. All recommended a neck lift/lower facelift. I choose Dr. Caloca because he seemed highly competent and personable. I'm glad I choose him. I'm happy with the results. His work is excellent. He's an artist with attention to details.
I did a phone consultation wit Dr Caloca and a in-person consultation. An in-person consultation is not necessary, I choose this option because I live close to Tijuana; 100 miles north. I was given the option to pay in cash or credit card. A 5% surcharge for credit card. I choose to pay in cash. One thousand dollar deposit and the balance due at the surgery.
I went through the procedure alone, with no family. His team took care of me. The day before the surgery, Giovanna, the office administrator, brought me to the lab for tests and to the cardiologist appointment. She also made the hotel reservation and arranged transportation.
The morning of the surgery I was brought into the operation room. Dr Caloca, the nurses and the anesthesiologist all made me feel comfortable and worked well together. That night I spent in the recovery room with a nurse checking on me. I have had surgery before and this one was mostly pain free. The biggest challenge was sleeping on my back with the head elevated. After surgery my head was wrapped up, like a Q-tip. I received lots of stares and questions. The immigration officer did not ask questions at the border. I declared my medications when crossing into the USA, it's not an issue if you declare.
There were some issues with bruising after the procedure. Dr. Caloca took care of it with follow-up appointments.
Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Caloca. He and his team are committed to surgery success.
