Neck lift with Dr. Cardenas: easy, effective & took 10 years off my face

April 28, 2023, I had my second set of procedures with Dr. Cardenas. I am not a weight loss patient, just a woman who wanted to ameliorate some signs of aging. Therefore, I want to emphasize that Dr. Cardenas is an expert at body and face procedures for all types of patients. My April surgery was brachioplasty, during which the doctor removed three inches from the circumference of each of my upper arms. I also had a neck lift and small amounts of fat transfer to my face, which were amazingly rejuvenating for my features. I was nervous about the fat transfer, since I see so many mature women with chipmunk cheeks, but I trusted Dr. Cardenas, and I was right to do so. I do not look like a different person. As they say, I look "refreshed" :) When I was in my 20's, I had liposuction and a nose job with two different surgeons in New York City, both considered the best in their field, and in my late 40's, (7 years ago) I had liposuction with another top-rated doctor in Manhattan. Dr. Cardenas is a better doctor than all three. Her liposuction technique is flawless. She gives her patient so much time when she stitches, so the scars are minimal. For my neck lift, she attached a mesh to my neck and chin for the first week to help the skin adhere perfectly. I stayed in the wonderful Recovery House for ten days. As I have recommended in my previous review, for Dr. C., patients should spend the very reasonable cost to stay there in order to have a sterile environment, healthful meals, medication and pain management, assistance with a daily shower, clean sheets every day, and 24-hour nursing oversight. The Recovery House ensures the best results from the surgery, so it is absolutely worth the cost, which varies according to the number of days and total procedure cost, but I think is about $275 per day, all the above included. I could not be happier with the results. I am American; I could have gone to a doctor in the U.S., but I chose Dr. Cardenas for her skill, the fact that she cares so much about the quality of her work, and the Recovery House, which has enabled me to heal from a thigh and buttock lift (1st procedures) and brachioplasty and neck lift (second set of procedures) without complications and with beautiful, confidence-enhancing results. For Americans who don't speak Spanish: Dr. Cardenas speaks perfect English. For anyone contemplating cosmetic surgery: she is brutally honest and never over-promises. She will tell you if you are asking too much and how best to obtain your desired outcome. You won't find a more skilled and caring surgeon anywhere.
