No mask, get a neck gaiter
Another thing because of Covid, I wanted to mention is to not wear a mask that goes behind the ears. Invest in a neck gaiter to pull up and wear that for at least six weeks after. I did wear a mask three weeks after and it opened one of my incisions above my ear due to the rubbing and it got infected. It definitely could have been from my glasses so wear contacts. It cleared up within a couple days. I do recommend a neck gaiter and wear contacts to avoid this.
Scar under the chin
I forgot to post the picture of under the chin. The incision is still healing. I don’t even notice it until I’m washing my face and neck with a facial scrub. Nothing that’s unbearable and it doesn’t hurt but it does have some sensitivity.
10 week update
The incisions are now smoother and muscles are still healing (swelling keeps going down). The incisions are still red behind my ears and in my hair. The front of ear has healed nicely. Around the front of my ears and down towards my neck is still a bit numb but I notice every week it’s gets better. Please note, I am a diabetic so I don’t heal as fast or as good as others.
I am still very happy with results.
I am still very happy with results.
