No mask, get a neck gaiter

WORTH IT
Another thing because of Covid, I wanted to mention is to not wear a mask that goes behind the ears. Invest in a neck gaiter to pull up and wear that for at least six weeks after. I did wear a mask three weeks after and it opened one of my incisions above my ear due to the rubbing and it got infected. It definitely could have been from my glasses so wear contacts. It cleared up within a couple days. I do recommend a neck gaiter and wear contacts to avoid this.

What a great result.
You look fantastic! Your surgeon did an awesome job!
Gaiters are not effective masks. This is proven.
Welcome! I knew a Covid Specialist would eventually pop in and monitor comments about another person’s personal experience.
Nothing is really safe during Covid… but here we are.. getting cosmetic surgeries to make ourselves feel better and sharing experiences!
I wish everyone well. Do what makes you feel happy :-)
You look amazing! Thanks for all the updates!

Scar under the chin

I forgot to post the picture of under the chin. The incision is still healing. I don’t even notice it until I’m washing my face and neck with a facial scrub. Nothing that’s unbearable and it doesn’t hurt but it does have some sensitivity.

I don't want to sound like a weirdo, but your lips are cute. I'm getting my neck lift in November.
Thank you! The neck lift really makes a difference and I’m so happy I got it done. I wish you luck and hope you enjoy your new look as much as I do!
This looks amazing and you scarred so well!! May I ask the cost of this? I am doing my research right now for this. Your results have sold me!
I paid 8500 and for me it was worth it
Oh jeez, I was quoted $12,500 and that's not anesthesia or surgery facility (Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area). But I'm still doing it.
Mine was $12,000 which included everything...surgery suite, anesthesia, etc I got a lower face and neck lift in 2019. One day after my 60th birthday.

10 week update

The incisions are now smoother and muscles are still healing (swelling keeps going down). The incisions are still red behind my ears and in my hair. The front of ear has healed nicely. Around the front of my ears and down towards my neck is still a bit numb but I notice every week it’s gets better. Please note, I am a diabetic so I don’t heal as fast or as good as others.
I am still very happy with results.
