Natural Microblading Results

WORTH IT$400
Great Experience!

When I first had them done, I knew that I should expect them to appear very dark and big at first. Even with this knowledge, I was FREAKING out on days 1 and 2 after the procedure (this was the beginning of Aug. 2018). I thought they looked huge on my face and was concerned I made a $400 mistake!! I even thought about trying to get them removed. Turns out they lightened up a ton and the lines became thinner after about 1.5-2 weeks (just like everyone said would happen). During this time period where I felt they were super dark .. no one else seemed to notice, so I was probably over thinking it. I love them now!

I had my "perfecting" session Saturday, about 1 month after the initial appointment, which was included with my initial appointment fee. It took about 45 minutes. All I had her do was add a few more strokes to the middle, (where they healed a bit lighter) and make the tails ever so slightly longer/come to more of a point. The majority of the appointment was waiting for the numbing cream to set in .. and then at the end waiting for the pigment to set. She said that I'm very unusual - most people want a TON more strokes and shading added in their perfecting session. I told her that I want them to appear as natural as possible. If I want to look like I'm wearing make up, I will wear make up!

Unlike my first appointment, I felt great about the results on Saturday immediately. The lines she made on the tails appeared a bit darker than the rest of my brows, but I now know they will fade and calm down :). Moral of the story is that if you get microblading - DON'T freak out when they look super dark right away! Give it 2 weeks.

Based on my results vs. the results I've seen online, I'd recommend going to a technician who does ointment healing and NOT dry healing. Shiny brows with a layer of aquaphor on them are way better than those huge flakes and dandruff that come off .. and I got a very nice crisp result and had a very uneventful healing process. Some people day dry healing gives you a better result but that seems like nonsense to me.

The pain was bearable .. but it certainly didn't feel great. By the end of the first session, I was ready to be done! It probably started at a 3/10 on the pain scale, and went up to a 6/10 at the end. The numbing cream worked ok for me, but not great and not for long. The pain would not stop me from doing it again.

Touch-ups are very case by case for each person, but I am anticipating doing 1 touch-up/year to maintain my results!

Overall, I'm very happy I did this! I asked for NATURAL results, and that's what I got. I told her I wanted to look like I have naturally full/even brows. My fiancé was looking at them the other day and said that he couldn't tell what was a hair and what was a microblading stroke! I consider that success.
