WORTH IT
So I decided to get a boob job after my engagements. I’ve always wanted a fuller chest size to fill out clothes and finally got around to deciding to just go for it. I was about a 34A-B. So far I’m about 4 days post op and pleased with the results. I went with the Natrelle Inspira 365cc, smooth, round, full profile. They were placed submuscular with inframmamary incision.
On my first consult, I was pretty decided on only going with about 300ccs. However, a review that I read on RealSelf seemed to really stick with me and it said it might be a good idea add about 50ccs to not lose any size of the implant behind the muscle. On the days before my pre-op, I kept debating whether I should go bigger and on my pre-op meeting I wanted to see what my body would look like with a bigger implant. They let me do a Vectra image between sizes of the implant, which really helped my decision a lot. I then was able to go with the bigger implant choice at 365cc, full profile. My docs office even helped put my mind at ease since they even said that most people wish they went bigger after a breast aug. So I thought I was doing myself a favor and covering my bases there.
On operation day, I was pretty nervous. The week before I had been really excited, but the nerves didn’t really hit me until op day. But before I knew it, I was hooked up onto my IV and put out with the anesthesia. 2 hours later I woke up in post op with some soreness and looked down to my new boobs. I didn’t feel much pain, but I was given some pain meds before discharge and took Tylenol 3 every 4 hours. When I did feel pain, it was mostly from pain from soreness and trying to lift myself up. My fiancé had to lift myself up when I needed to get up, as I really couldn’t get up on my own. Other than that, I was able to sleep on my back and didn’t have much complaints on that day. I regained my appetite, but stuck to non-solid foods.
On my post op day 1, i had my first post-op appointment. The doc took out my stitching and put in the steristrips. Said I could start showering the next day. I felt soreness and some pain, but just made sure to take the tylenol 3. I felt the classic “elephant on the chest” feeling sometime at night around the time I was due for pain meds, but went away shortly after. At times, I did feel shortness of breath, but also went away after a few minutes. I was even able to go out for a few hours for a bit that night.
Day by day the soreness seems to get better. I’ve been wearing my sports bra and compression band daily. Right now, I’m still getting used to the new boobs. At times feel they are a bit big, but I know I need to wait until they fully heal from swelling to see the results. Overall, I’m happy with the decision and can’t wait to see the full outcome. Will update with more post-op pics!

1 week post op!

1 week post op and the girls are starting to feel like my own! There’s still some swelling, but much of the soreness has gone away. Was able to go back to work with lift restrictions. Forgot to take a pic of my incisions, but happy to report there’s not much bruising. Seems to be healing well. Really pleased with my results so far!

6 weeks post-op!

6 weeks post-op! Scars are still healing. Just been putting scar cream and A&D ointment on them. Been doing breast massage 2-3 times a day. I can finally sleep on my side, which I’ve been dying to do these last weeks. Pretty happy with the results and size choice.
