Interviewing Drs and racking my brain to choose the best size for me...
I am 39yro, 5’8” 165lbs 36A...
2 children (my youngest is 14yrs)
1 PS recommended 325-375cc to keep them natural.
Another said 400-450cc minimum because of my frame.
Now I’m like wtf!!! I want them to be a nice size so that i don’t have the regret of not going bigger but not too big wear they look like they sag. In a way i want them to look “done” (like “damn those are nice) but not [RS bleep] star done LOL. I am also bottom heavy so i am searching for something that balances me out.
Real Self has helped me a lot but it was hard to find women my size (height/weight) so hopefully this will help someone else.
I have a little stomach sag (in case u see it) and was told i needed a tummy tuck but I’d rather bear with the little extra sag than the scar of a tummy tuck. I don’t think I’m big enough to need it so i don’t think it would be worth it. Feel free to chime in on that if your a smaller woman who opted for the tummy tuck. It’s $9.5k. I’d rather continue Crossfit. Someone will love that lil extra ;0)

Anemic
I’ve always been anemic. Last year my hematocrit was 7.5 (dangerously low). I was supposed to get an iron transfusion but i was working so much i put it off. No biggie. If i pass out i pass out. As long as I’m taking care of everything else when i get up right? LOL. Iron supplements make me terribly constipated. I started taking a Blood Builder vitamin. Per Amazon, it’s supposed to work wonders on iron/folate levels but had been inconsistent with it.
So after 3 consults, i went to see Dr Friedman. I had informed all of the PS about my anemia on the medical history. It took the 4th dr to ask me my counts. I guess the other PS were just going to do it anyway? When i said 7.5 he said i would absolutely not be cleared to safely have surgery. I don’t make enough blood to survive. Oops...I’d forgotten that part. And of course I’ve chosen to have him do my surgery just for his diligence and caring enough to ASK.
I told him about the vitamins and that I’m inconsistent but i do take them so i would have my levels checked and let him know. That was two days ago. Today i received my results and I’m an 8.6. He told me i couldn’t be scheduled without at least a 10. I totally understand and appreciate why but i want to cry. My target date for surgery is December 7 and i have to set a date to be able to do pre-op 2 weeks prior which means i need this together no later than November 23rd. That’s assuming I will still be able to get my December date if i have to wait that long to be put on the books.
Today, I called my PCP, had additional iron studies drawn and a referral sent to a Hematologist for an iron transfusion. That’s the quickest way to raise my levels but since i haven’t met deductible i shutter to think what this will cost me. :0(
In the meantime, I’ll start taking the Blood Builders two tabs in the morning and two at night. I’ll have my levels checked next Friday to see if that makes any improvements. It’s a shame it took this for me to seriously address my anemia but priorities, right? LOL. I’ll update next week.
Pray that i can meet this deadline. I have Bahamas in February and i MUST have boobs by then!!!

Worry about your blood levels first and foremost. Do you have super heavy periods? I ended up on the pill 365 days a year to combat that problem. It helped me have more energy and feel better about life and myself.

I did address the anemia prior to surgery as noted lol. On a follow up I’ve said i continued to maintain and am now consistently low normal. The best I’ve been ever. Yes, i have really heavy periods and uterine fibroids. Birth control pills have too many side effects for me so i don’t choose to go there. A hysterectomy is suggested but i think I’d prefer to try an ablation.

This comment may be a bi late but hopefully helpful. First off- I think you chose the best dr who cared enough about YOU, to ask the levels and not just what size do you want to be. Secondly, I also suffer with anemia issues. For otc iron supplements the best one I found that I noticed a significant and quick response was "Vitron-C High Potency Iron Supplement with Vitamin C, Boosts Energy, 60 Count" (copied direct from Amazon) and extremely easy on the stomach. Does not constipate. But def please take care of your hemoglobin levels. My mother is also anemic and put it off and put it off and is now in the beginning stages of organ failure (I know sounds extreme) but please take care of your iron issues first. Best wishes, and if the boobs have to wait til next year that's ok.
