It’s been 3 years!!
It was the best decision ever. Having a body I am confident in has been good for me both physically and mentally. I no longer cringe to put on a swimsuit. They look so freaking natural and feel soft and are just perfect. I was reading back through my updates - one in particular I worried they would wind up uneven. Trust Dr Mays because once they healed they look freaking identical, as in you can’t tell one is bigger than the other. He’s just a fantastic surgeon and really goes out of his way to make sure your results are perfect.
I ended up going back to DR Mays yesterday for a tummy tuck so my mommy makeover is officially complete! Doing a separate review for that too.

6 weeks!!
Had my 6 week follow up yesterday and I can officially say all is perfect. They don’t hurt anymore (it just suddenly became pain free overnight at week 5).
They look fantastic!! All the swelling is gone so they won’t change much more. Size is perfect. Got fitted and I’m a 36 DDD but because my boobs are quite perky, a G fits better. Kind of hard to believe but they are perfect. I can hide them under clothes, or play them up when I want. So happy!!!!!
If your taller don’t be afraid to get a bigger implant!
Out of the blue tonight I started feeling a weird rubbing sensation, like my implant is rubbing against my chest plate right in the middle... it’s not painful but very annoying. I hope it goes away but want to talk with my PS on Monday about it. Better safe than sorry. Hopefully it’s not a sign of capsular contracture!

Almost 4 weeks
Overall: Feeling much better. I’m getting around and for the most part back to normal activities (e.g., holding my babies, getting groceries, etc.)
Pain: I am still quite sore, but it’s manageable soreness like after a hard chest workout. Massaging helps immensely. My nerves are also still firing on all cylinders which is not the most pleasant thing.
My right boob, the one that received the smaller implant, is substantially more sore than the left. I’m not sure why, you’d think it would be the opposite. Maybe it’s because there was more natural breast tissue on that side? I’m constantly worried it’s capsular contracture starting but it’s just as soft as the left side and visually the same so I know it’s not. It’s all in my head lol.
Look: I LOVE the way they look. I feel so much more confident in clothes. I never really got frankenboob like some have talked about. They look pretty natural aside from the fact they are a little high still. When they finally D&F they’ll look perfect. So happy I went with the size I did! Still wishing I had gotten the same size implant on both sides because the side with the bigger implant is visibly larger than the other, but my surgeon says when the swelling goes down they should look more even and that they were close to perfect in the operating room before the swelling kicked in. I’m trying to be patient and trust his judgement. In clothes or with a bra on you can’t tell at all so honestly I’m not that worried about it if they re a little uneven. I knew it was a risk when I signed up.
Bra: My surgeon wants me to wear a sports bra 24/7 until 6 weeks, which I don’t mind because I finally found a comfortable one. I’ve been through like 12 of them before I found the one. It’s a plain jane one from Academy Sports.
ADVICE: keep looking for a good fitting bra if you think yours isn’t cutting it. It makes a huge difference!
After 6 weeks I can wear what I want during the day but I’m supposed to keep the sports bra on at night for bed.
Sleeping Positions: I’m sleeping on my side now. I have to hug a big pillow to do it but it’s more comfortable than trying to fall asleep on my back. I usually wake up on my back anyway.
Medications: I’ve been taking my vitamin E 400 icu a day and a multivitamin. No more pain meds at all, not even Tylenol except for every now and then.
Hmmm.... I can’t think of anything else to update you on. lol try to share update pics later tonight!
