Two weeks post

By day 3 post op I felt completely back to myself! The only horrible experience was that I found out I was allergic to my antibiotic (keflex). I had horrible headache (never get headaches) and night sweats. My headache was so bad I had a nosebleed. I didn’t associate it with my meds and just thought it was a bad reaction to the anesthesia. I let Dr. B know and he said to get off all medications immediately. I felt better within 8 hours and have felt great since. By day 4 I was walking for exercise and by week 1 I was doing the elliptical. I haven’t taken off my sports bra at all other than to go to the beach. It has been an incredibly easy experience and I’d do it all over. Very happy with the size, it looks like I grew them myself.

Surgery Day

Wanted to make sure I included this for anyone who is extremely anxious about their surgery date, especially anesthesia:

The day of surgery I arrived one hour early for pre-op. (Surgery 12:30, arrival 11:30). I checked in with the kindest woman ever, she sat me in a warmed comfy chair, I changed into my robe, and three people visited me to discuss my prior health conditions. We went over the same info each time. Dr. Burns came in and we decided on my final size. I had been debating for literal weeks and in my head had decided on 310cc. Before I mentioned that he suggested 310cc! Man sees a lot of breasts and knows what he is doing haha. He drew on me and left the room. Dr. Burns’ amazing nurse Elizabeth sat down and took the time to comfort and encourage me and that was absolutely priceless. I was incredibly nervous about anesthesia because I had never gone under before and didn’t know what it would feel like. The last person to talk to me was the anesthesiologist. She was very comforting and obviously knew what she was doing. She told me everything they would do step by step. When it was finally time (eeeeek) I walked to the OR (which is honestly gorgeous and overlooks Dallas) everyone was there to greet me which was so comforting. Then the big moment I had lost so much sleep over. I got on the table, they put my legs in some warmers, and then the anesthesiologist gave me something in my IV to make me feel better (and yes it did) then asked me to breathe in, I did very deeply, and that’s the last I remember. When I woke up, I said, “IM ALIVE” and was 100% coherent. I felt fine. It didn’t feel like a blink, more like 5 minutes and I did dream but I can’t remember it. I wasn’t in any pain at all, just had boobs.

So there you have it! If you are anxious about anesthesia, or surgery, just don’t be! And especially don’t be if you have Dr. Burns’ team!

310cc Natrelle Softtouch, Moderate Profile, 99lbs 5’2

Dr. Burns and team were absolutely amazing. From the woman who checked me in, to his nurse Elizabeth, to the anesthesiologist, it was a great experience! Dr. Burns was great about helping me choose a size that went with my frame and follow up was fantastic.

I will be posting more photos once I heal a bit more.
