I went in for a revision over a year ago with Dr. Nassif after my primary rhinoplasty reduced too much of my bridge. Dr. Nassif and I discussed him using a rib graft to augment the bridge of my nose, but the result was horrendous. My nose came out to be 3 times larger than the nose I was born with. He used unnecessary grafts everywhere... you would think he was erecting a building. He did rim grafts, alar grafts, a double rib graft on my bridge, ear cartalidge here and there.... when the cast came off I was MORTIFIED! I even quit my job because all you could see on my face (at four months post-op) was a monster-sized nose. He also placed the graft way too high on my radix so it altered the way my eyes looked and gave me a Neanderthal-like appearance. The alar grafts were completely assymetrical and made my nostrils flare out. It was just the most unsightly, unflattering and masculine nose for any woman to have. Not to mention, my nose literally felt like a brick. It didn't move at all and I couldn't close my nose to blow it. I honestly have no idea what he was doing or thinking! I waited an entire year before condidering a revision and, even at that point, my nose was still huge after almost all of the swelling had resolved. Thankfully I recently underwent my final revision with an NYC based doctor and had amazing results. He had to remove so much unnecessary grafting from my nose-- the new doctor was astonished. After surgery he told me he was surprised I didn't experience necrosis from all the tension my skin was under. But, when I tell you my new nose looked gorgeous the second he took my cast off, I mean it. Every day, my nose looks prettier and prettier and I knew that my new doctor had done an incredible job. While I understand, swelling can distort the nose immediately after surgery, it should never leave you looking disfigured. I wasted nearly $40,000 on Dr. Nassif. I'm very disappointed.
