I had my vaginal tightening done on November 4, 2014. Today is November 28,2014. This journey of recovering post op has had its ups and downs. I stopped
taking all pain meds very quickly because they tend to make you constipated. I
didn't want anything to cause any type of pressure DOWN THERE as the stitches
are very tender. I am still very happy with my decision to have this type of surgery, in spite of the uncomfortability at times. Hey, it's has to be tighter than
it was. The stitches will start to dissolve somewhere around the sixth week I am told. The whole surgery and recovery is a process. But nonetheless emotionally I already feel better. At first I will admit I was very scared to look at the work my Doctor has done. But now I have used a mirror and I look often. LOL. I will update again in future.

Definetely not. At least not now. It is only 1 month.
January 4, 2015
It has been 2 months since my tightening procedure. I am very happy with the results. Perhaps after my follow-up visit with Dr. Jason I will post before and after pictures.

I am planning on booking surgery with the same doctor...but very nervous and expensive. Did you have both anterior and posterior repair? Also, did you take bio-identical hormones to heal faster?
November 29, 2014
Yes. I had anterior and posterior repair. I was taking Bio Identicals before surgery and now after. Also was told it will heal faster. I agree that the price was high, but I spoke to several woman before surgery and also after the surgery. I was nervous wreck before and still at times I call the doctor for any and every little thing. Things are going very well now. I didn't have to use the pain meds as often as I thought I would need to. It is almost 1 month since the repair and I have no regrets about it. Also, I feel the Bio Identicals were a life saver for me. I had my surgery done on Nov. 4, 2014. If you are booking the surgery you can ask Dr. Jason for my number if you have any questions about anything. I HAD to do that the day before surgery and it was quite helpful. Stay well.

Thanks so much for responding. I'm 49 and haven't hit menopause yet...but seeing early signs of pre... If the Bio Identicals will help me heal faster, I'm all for it. In addition, I have stress urinary incontinence from one delivery with forceps...organs dropped...they called it cystocele, urethrocele and rectocoele. Total cost nearly $15,000. Insurance is contributing less than $1,000 for the incontinence part. Very disappointing. Trying to figure out how to fund the rest. I want to get it done before year end.

Hi. I am 51 years old and never had children. Somehow I fell apart at 50 years old. Had incontinence problem done when I was 45 years old. I started to go through peri menopause and the Bio Identicals have helped me a great deal. The surgery for the vaginal tightening was expensive and my insurance only covered a small portion also. $1500. They called it a Repair. It is almost 1 month post op. I can finally say I am extremely pleased with my decision to have this type of surgery. I am not ready to show my husband how good it looks, but I am checking it out daily with a mirror after my shower. Also Dr. Jason has showed me my before pictures and I have already gone to see him twice since surgery. I am a neurotic person and he is very patient. So seeing my before and after pics is quite helpful. Emotionally I feel so much better. I was very embarrassed to sleep with my husband. We are newlyweds at this stage of our lives. And he would never say anything about the va jay jay tightening. Once I decided to move forward with the surgery we finally talked about it and he wanted me to do it but he was very scared and nervous for me. Now, he is ecstatic! It will be awhile before we have sex. I am still very sore. But ask me if I would do it again... ABSOLUTELY

How are you doing?
January 4, 2015
Hi, All is great!! I went back to work and got so busy with holidays etc. just didn't have time to post. My follow-up doctor visit will be next week. Dr. Jason will do a 1 finger exam. I am very anxious to see him. My husband & I wanted to wait before we have sex for the first time since surgery. All seems to be excellent. It's like I never had the surgery, no pain, no more stitches and it looks beautiful.

Glad to hear you are doing so well! I had the surgery last Tuesday, 12/30. So far, so good. No more pain, just uncomfortable now. Switching between motrin and Tylenol to ease the discomfort. I plan to meet with Dr. Jason for the bio-identicals asap. Can you tell me about how much it was? I had all my blood counts done and submitted to him. They don't look that bad...to me. Did you notice a huge improvement? Just trying to weigh the cost against benefit. Thanks!!

Hi ! I feel awesome... My follow up is today he will do the 1 finger exam! Things look fabulous down there ! I am alittle nervous. I have not had sex yet. Tonight is the night! My husband has been very patient & excited at the same time. As for the bio-identicals, the fee for Dr. Jason is $1200. My insurance pays for most of the meds & bloodwork. For me every 4 mos. I have to lay out about $500. I track my symptoms and results daily. My biggest complaints to Dr. Jason were fatigue, low sex drive, feeling BLAHHH, & muscle/joint pain. Those symptoms have been relieved. It has been a long road adjusting the meds. At times frustrating but definetly worth it in my opinion. My bloodwork definetly came back out of range. Almost exactly after 1 year of perimenopause my symptoms changed drastically. To be honest, I don't no how people go through it ( menopause) without help. So for me its been a blessing. I am happy you are feeling good. I would love to talk with you alittle more but I don't want to post my phone number for everyone. Perhaps you can ask Lauren (Dr. Jason's wife) for my number. I will mention it to her today. Stay well.

I had my full exam 2 months post op. All is well. Once again I will say that having this surgery was the best decision I could have made about the vaginal tightening. My self esteem along with many other things has improved a great deal. Good luck to all considering this type of surgery.

Hi tcu! Sorry if u answered this question already but im looking for the benefits of the tightening. Obviously it should be tighter but I've been reading some posts that havent been too positive. I'm wondering whathad gone wrong? Hope all is well and u have been able to ecpeexperience full benefits of your procedure! !

Hi batman, I have not experienced and negative side effects of the vaginal tightening procedure. The look of my vagina and the sex my husband and I have had is excellent. I have no regrets as to having the surgery. Before surgery I was 4 fingers wide ( my doctors fingers). I am now 2 fingers wide (my fingers). All is well. My husband and I are both happy. I wish you well with whatever you decide to do.

Hi, All is great. Like a new woman. Very happy with the surgery and the results. I haven't had sex yet. Alittle nervous about that. I am waiting until my follow-up visit with Dr. Jason this week. I have explored things on my own and all looks and feels good.

I would really like to know hows the sex after this procedure.. I'm thinking about it but nervous ... I'd it really worth it ladies ? Please let me know
January 14, 2015
Hi. After having this surgery I can tell you that it is definitely tighter down there. In fact, my husband and I have tried having sex and it is a slow process to get back into it comfortably. I guess I am not relaxed. I am worried about ripping stitches or just stretching out again. We were told to use a small vibrator to ease back into things and that is great! I was told by my doctor that before surgery I was 4 fingers wide down there. (his fingers) I insisted on doing 2 fingers (my fingers). My husband & I measured things the night before surgery, which was quite amusing. LOL. In any case, we are going to try things out again tonight.

Hi Eva,
I am still so happy I had this surgery. My emotional state and self esteem is like
new person. Although I do not plan on having sex anytime soon my hubby is ok with that. We have found some other creative things to replace THAT. lol.
The stitches will start dissolving soon. So I am planning a special new years eve weekend with my honey.

Hi Ladies,
I am sorry for not writing any sooner. I was extremely uncomfortable. I took the pain meds at first, but they make you constipated which was very painful. I then switched to motrin 800 along with valium. Much better.
I keep checking out my new va ja ja. WAS SCARED to look at first but I am so happy with the results. It is still uncomfortable but bearable. I find wearing skirts is best at this time.
I must say I already started to buy some new sexy wear for down the road. My follow up visit will be next week. Dr. Jason is a true gentleman and vagina artist. His before and after pics show that. He is also truly patient. I was very neurotic.
