let me start off by saying I am so nervous! I have scheduled a profractional laser treatment with a micro peel. This is the first thing I have decided to try on my scars! I hope it improves them! If anyone has scarring like mine and found success please let me know what you did!!!!
A little about my scars.. I never had a pimple until I hit 18 years old and cystic acne took over my life! Now I am left with the ugly scarring and am beginning my journey to make it look better!

Today I go for my first treatment with the profractional laser and am also going for acne scarring I will let you know how it goes!

Well honestly it was a little scary because I really didnt want to take all the meds they made me take (adivan, loratbs) and on top of that numbing cream and several shots (which didn't hurt) the procedure itself didn't hurt just uncomfortable and the smell of burning skin didn't help Lol... Last night there was a lot of bleeding , today im severely swollen and still alot of blood but your not suppose to get it off .. Honestly it looks so bad my husband is now refusing to look at me Lol but really not much discomfort... Im not sure how deep they went because I was so numb and out of it I couldn't really ask but I have severe acne scars and quite a bit older then you so you might not get it as deep, I would like to post pics but I don't want to scare you Lol as I haven't seen anyone on this forum that looks like my face ... Not sure if ill ever do it again but ill still keep u updated as the week goes on!

I actually posted some this morning on here please don't let it scare you.... The doctors office called me this morning I asked how deep they went they said 500 but did a couple of passes which is why im bleeding and swelling so bad and apparently bleeding is a good sign I had mine done at advanced dermatology and aesthetics in Gulfport, Ms

I hear the more you bleed the better! I am excited for you! I hope you get awesome results! Do you still have acne problems? has it causes a breakout? thats my top concerns.

I just turned 40 so my acne days are behind me thankfully... I've been reading the goop stuff they give u can cause you to break out after im still extremely raw, swollen and bloody so I won't know what its going to do yet I tried lightly washing my face but the blood is so thick its not coming off and did I mention the weird oozing stuff Lol sounds pretty terrible doesn't it? Your scars don't look as bad as what i had so hopefully your won't have to go through this... No pain just extremely uncomfortable ..everyone thinks im crazy for doing this to myself but unless you experience the embarrassment of acne scars then you don't know what you would be willing to do! Please keep me updated!

I didnt have a pimple until i turned 20 and my face just went crazy! I literally was so depressed. Those pics arent very good but nobody really understands what we deal with! my family says I am crazy for spending the money but I am desperate. I am so tired of constantly wondering if someone is looking at me or talking about my scars :(. I will keep you updated for sure!

Ok i have to be honest with you I would reaaalllllly reconsider having this done... It could be because they went 500 m on me that im in so much pain but im still extremely swollen and the itching is unbearable literally enough to make me cry and I have an unusually high pain tolerance. ... Im also having these little white looking pimples come out ... I look and feel like a monster if I had a choice I would absolutely not do this again and you are absolutely gorgeous so I would really be scared of doing something like this to yourself... Have you tried something less invasive? I had bought a dermaroller and it seemed to really help but my scars are much worse then yours and I couldnt get the improvement I was needing but its a super cheap alternative you can find them on amazon or wish.... Just a thought :) but if u still decide to do this keep in touch and hopefully yours will go better then mine but I've been reading a lot of reviews seems this is kind of normal and oh my god did I mention the smell Lol I guess its the aquaform they give u but it smells like death

Oh no!!! I wonder if I will be going as deep. I have already paid for half and it is non refundable :(. Mow im scared lol. Are you peeling yet? Have you told your dr??

Oh no i didn't mean to scare u! Maybe im just more of a whimp then I thought ha I actually texted her tonight and she called immediately said it was normal so im gonna try white vinegar and water tonight on it to see if it helps
