I had excess labial tissue which was significantly expanded on one side. I would experience medium discomfort to frequent pain wearing tight exercise clothing. I also felt "ugly" and uncomfortable having sex with my husband (even though he never complained about it). I really had no idea that labiaplasty was an option for me until I saw it on Real Self. After getting up enough courage to inquire, I sent a request to Dr. Haws for an assessment. My appointment was granted the next week after my inquiry. She never made me feel the slightest bit uncomfortable and gave me her recommendations. She also said this was a much more common procedure now that I would expect. My procedure was booked for Friday afternoon so I was at work for half a day and then checked into the surgery center early afternoon. I did the procedure under local anethesia (might not recommend for everyone if you don't have a pretty decent discomfort tolerance). I was at the center for a total of 3 hours. I drove myself home after the procedure and only experienced one night of pain. I went back to work on Monday! After 5 weeks of healing I am really happy with the result. Bring on the yoga pants!

Bring on the yoga pants indeed -- congratulations! Did you have the trim or wedge method? You are so brave to have opted for local anethesia, if you have a moment, would you mind adding your input in the following discussion for anyone researching: What Type of Anesthesia did you Use?

I look forward to you next review update.

She used the wedge method.
