I was really concerned about the sun damage on my...

I was really concerned about the sun damage on my neck and chest. I asked Tina Porterfield who is an R.N. at Dr. Griffin's office if there was anything that would help with that. She told me about the Halo Laser and BBL for face, neck and chest. I researched it at home and found out that the Halo Laser would also help with fine lines, wrinkles and tightening of the skin. I was mainly concerned about the sun damage, but I thought that all of the other things would be a bonus. I met with Dr. Griffin and he evaluated my skin and he thought the Halo would really help with my sun damage. I scheduled my appointment and finally the day came for my procedure. I had been given prescriptions for my medications and took them as prescribed. When I arrived Tina took my before pictures and I took my pain medication. She had told me that it would be painful. She did the BBL first and it felt like little pricks/stings on my skin. Spots closer to my nose, upper lip and eyes were quite painful. I had tears rolling down my face. The neck and chest were not as bad. Then she started the Halo procedure. It felt like a very warm vibration on my my skin. It really wasn't terribly painful. I'm sure doing it without the pain medication would not have been a good idea. After my procedure I waited in the office for about 30 minutes and then I was able to have my husband drive me home. I looked like I had a dark sun tan with black spots on my face. Tina had told me that I would be swollen. I think the worst swelling was day 3. I had to be very gentle with my face. Tina told me to treat it like baby skin. I texted her a picture each day for a week and she would answer questions that I had. It really wasn't a problem for me until the skin started to come off. Then it was hard to clean it properly while still being gentle. I had to wear sunscreen if I went outside and it would not all come off. I just never felt like I could get my skin clean. I stayed in the house for about 5 days, but then I had to go out and the sunscreen layer and flaking skin made me look pretty bad. Tina had told me not to pick at my skin, but to let it come off on its own. That was very hard to do. Around day 7 or 8 I was able to go out in public with only some of the skin left around the sides of my face that had not come off. I noticed how nice and fresh my skin looked and felt. I LOVED it! It had a nice glow like I had been out in the sun. At this point I had to start doing my skin care routine of cleanser, Vitamin C, moisturizer, and sunscreen in the morning and cleanser, Retinol cream, moisturizer and 4% skin bleaching cream at night. At about 2 weeks all of the skin had come off and the swelling had not completely gone down and I looked fantastic! When I went in for my 4 week check-up I only had to wear the tinted sunscreen and powder and looked wonderful! The swelling had gone down and I talked to Tina about the concerns I had for under and around my eyes. She did a little botox and 1 Voluma treatment and it took care of that. My skin looks so much better. I would say it took maybe 5-10 years off of my face and took the sun damage off of my face and chest. Some of the sun damage came back on my neck where it was really bad. I keep using the bleaching cream though so maybe it will help, but it is no where near as noticeable. The rosiness that I had did go away... I really enjoyed that. Now it is back to a normal skin color, but my skin looks so much better and I am VERY pleased with the results! I would say that the ONLY downside to doing this was that my skin is very sensitive to the sun now. I have to stay out of the sun and wear sunscreen anytime I step foot out of the house. I even wear it in the house in case sun could hit me from the windows. I recommend Tina and Nashville Cosmetic Surgery very highly. Tina is always there if I have any questions and was just wonderful! The staff there is also very kind and very helpful! This was a very positive experience for me and I know I will go there in the future for any other skin care needs that I have. I will try to post my pictures at a later time.
