Dr. Wendel offered me the option of a DIEP (free deep interior epigastric artery perforator flap) for my reconstruction after a single mascetomy. I have never been interested in implants. I like the fact that my reconstruction was with done with my own tissue. Dr. Wendel did an amazing job. He described himself as a sculptor and he truely is. Not only that, Dr. Wendel by far is the most compassionate doctor I have ever met. He has an incredible staff working with him. Everyone in his practice is there to assist and put you at ease at the most challenging time
