I have wanted a breast augmentation ever since I stopped growing and developing around 16 years of age. I never had any fear or doubt about the surgery, I just needed to find the perfect doctor. I scheduled two other consultations with other doctors but once I met Dr. Bergdorf, I knew that he was THE man. At my consultation he walked into the room like a breath of fresh air! It's always a little uncomfortable to have to disrobe for a stranger, but he put me at ease pretty immediately. He is very handsome with a contagious smile and just the happiest most positive face that is so ...pleasant! All of the girls at his office are absolute dolls, as well.
At my initial consultation I was pretty sure of what I wanted and had brought pictures that I printed from the internet to show Dr. Bergdorf. He spent so much time going over everything with me and he let me talk without interrupting me, which was much appreciated. I had my surgery on the day before my 4 year wedding anniversary.
Going to the hospital for surgery was not as nerve wrecking for me as it was for my husband. He was very nervous because I was going to be put under anesthesia and he did a LOT of research on the procedure. It was a piece of cake, though. One minute you're getting loopy, the next minute you wake up in recovery. I was a little nauseous from the anesthesia, but that was the worst of it.
Recovery at home was not exactly what I expected. I expected to be in more pain than I was. The pain was not severe at all and I only took pain meds for two days. For the first two weeks I did have some swelling and I just made sure to ice my breasts as often as I could, and I took ibuprofen for the discomfort. Sleeping at night was more challenging because I am used to sleeping on my side or stomach, and you can't really be comfortable in either position for a couple of weeks post-op. By week 3 the swelling had gone down a lot and I was not feeling any discomfort at all. Dr. Bergdorf had already done a follow up visit and everything was healing perfectly.
Now I am going on 3 months post-op and I am just elated. I feel so great about myself and my body now! Being a woman, you don't really realize how much your self confidence can affect the dynamic of your entire house! Now that I feel so sexy and confident my mood is better, my sex like is INSANELY passionate, I feel sexy just wearing a cami and yoga pants now!
I am so glad that I picked Dr. Bergdorf as my surgeon. I do believe that my experience with him and the rest of the staff at Music City Plastic Surgery has really set the bar high. I recommend him to all of my friends :-)
