WORTH IT$10,800
I had wanted this surgery for more than 15 years. I had a weight loss of over 80 pounds but, nothing was going to tighten that arm droop. My clothes would never fit properly because the arms were always too tight. Grandchildren made fun of my arms flapping. I’ve always been self-conscious about my arms. The cost was the largest hinderence.

Your results look really good but it is kind of hard to see from such a distance. Did you have any other surgical procedures? The reason I ask is that the fee is quite high for an arm lift. Most are in the 3K-6K dollar range. I can understand why you said the cost was the largest hinderance.

The cost of my surgery was just for the arm lift. It covered everything except the prescriptions of antibiotics and pain meds. I didn’t shop around for pricing. I already knew Dr Unger and wouldn’t have considered using another surgeon. The surgery was done in the doctor’s surgery suite in his office. This was to save the cost of the hospital’s surgical facilities.

Wow amazing! May I ask how long it took you to recover? I have a YO and wonder how Im going to take care of her after I have my surgery.

You will need someone to take care of “you” for the first week! My aunt came and stayed with me for 3 weeks. I was unable to pick up even a jug of milk or lift a grocery bag for 2 weeks. I was driving at 2 weeks but, I was unable to pull down the rear hatch door on the car. It was 3!weeks before I was lifting my arms above my head. All this said, I wouldn’t discourage you from having the surgery. Just consider whether this is the right time for you. Also, I had to sleep sitting up for 2 weeks with my arms propped on pillows. Good luck!

Thank you for the feedback! Yes I will be having someone taking care of me and my daughter, Im more concerned of traveling back with her since I will be going out of state for my surgery. Im calculating 3 weeks recovery to be able to fly back with her.

You look fabulous!! I am having the same arm surgery as well as a tummy tuck Dec. 4th. I just turned 59 and you are such an inspiration to me. I too have had an 80 pound weight loss in the last 5 years and my arms and stomach have bothered me so much. I too have such a hard time buying tops. I have also had breast augmentation over 2 years ago and they took a major hit once I started losing weight. I am happy I lost weight, especially for my health but the excess skin sure does become an issue. Thank you for sharing your story!
