One Month Post Filler

WORTH IT$600
It's been a month and a week since I got plumped in my cheeks. I had small knots under the skin at the injection site for 3 weeks after my treatment. I read up and found this was normal so I just kept on with my normal daily activities and regime. I can tell you that I really am pleased with my decision to get this done. I think for me, it was mostly psychological and this has given me so much more self confidence. I don't feel as though I was over-filled at all as I look really natural. I am going to watch my face closely and when the filler starts to wear down, I will definitely get more. I am thinking I would like a syringe and a tiny bit more to completely smooth out all lines. However, I am thrilled with the Doctor's discretion by not over-plumping this first time around!

Your results look great! Juvederm has worked for me as well. Ematrix was really good too!! Probably the best treatment I've had with the best results was Juvederm and Ematrix. I agree that most lasers and peels do NOTHING and are a complete waste of money! Juvederm is a great product!
Thanks for sharing I have the same problem as you and tried everything in the world with no success, I also did cheek filler last month but no changes. Did you inject the scars or the cheek

I had moderate acne on my face from age 15-22. We were not fortunate enough to afford Accutane so I had to live with it/cover it up with make up. In college, Proactiv came out and I eagerly tried it. No changes. Around age 23, my acne was gone but I was left with scars on both of my cheeks primarily a large one next to my nose on the apple of my left cheek. You know the scars, the kind where you don't want to go to the restaurants with neon lights or the pendant low lights that hang over the table because they would "highlight" the scars. I hated it. I tried everything from TCA peels, Fraxel Laser, derma rolling, IPL, microdermabrasion and NO CHANGES. I even worked at a Medical Spa for 2 years and had all of these treatments done more than once. I started doing my research and read good reviews on filler for the scars. I went yesterday and had 1 syringe of Juvederm XC put in both of my cheeks. I cannot tell you how life changing it has been and it's only been 24 hours. Granted my face is a bit sore and a tiny, tiny bit swollen but I don't have the rolls in my face! I will continue to post pics along the way. If you have suffered and want smooth skin and don't have a lot of money, go this route!!!!

Wow, that's incredible results so far, I am so glad that you decided to share your story and photos with us. How long will the filler last?

The Doc said it should last anywhere from 6 months to a year. My Botox usually hangs on close to 5 months so I am hoping my body will hold on to this a bit longer as well.
I had Juvederm and it was cool while it lasted. did you just re-inct when it absorbed?
Hi CarenJ! How long did yours last? I am not sure I understand your question so I don't know how to answer.
i have juvederm too, and it was miraculous.
You look great!
Thank you!
You look great! I have the same types of scars on both of my cheeks, and like you, have tried everything...including a $7,000 phenol peel that was discovered in Israel. I truly love the results that you received, but it really sucks that you have to dish out $$$ like maybe 2x a year if you want to keep the results. It can get really expensive! I wonder if anything is out there that would at least last 2 years. Again, I am so happy for your results...hopefully one day, I will achieve the same results as you have.
The money is a big commitment for sure. However, if you are feeling "brave" you can sign up to be a model for doctors/physicians learning to inject botox/filler and it is half the cost. I have not done that yet since mine is fresh but I got a notification that "models" were needed this weekend for an aesthetic training course and it was going to be $7/unit for the Botox and $250/syringe of Juvederm! Just an idea
