More photos

Here are a few more photos from the revision. The first is after surgery with cast still on, the second is about a week after surgery (one day after stitches removed) with marks from stitches still in columella, and the third is about a month out from surgery.

Revision went perfectly

After my first surgery and after the healing process was complete, there were a few remaining things that Dr. Papillion and I agreed should be adjusted. I had a bump on the left side of my nose, and the right side was a little too slanted which made my nose look a little asymmetrical from the front. This was not severe, but it was noticeable to me. Also, the tip still felt a little too projected. Even though Dr. Papillion de-projected it quite a bit in the first surgery, when viewed in light of my newly shaved bridge, we agreed it may need a bit more. Also, the columella occasionally clicked, which bothered me.

Dr. Papillion got me in for a consult, we discussed the concerns and agreed upon a plan of action, and then we scheduled a surgery for relatively quickly after our meeting!

The surgery went better than I had hoped and the healing process was much easier than the first time! My stitches left no marks at all (even after only two weeks). The front appearance of my nose is perfectly straight now. Swelling is still decreasing (I’m only one month out), but the tip is smaller and more fitted to my face, and any bumps under the skin have gone down significantly/are disappearing rapidly as time goes by. The columella no longer clicks. I couldn’t be happier! This is the best my nose has ever looked. I cannot recommend Dr. Papillion enough!

Excellent! Dr. Papillion was very kind and helpful during my consult and pre-ops. He helped me communicate what I wanted from a rhinoplasty, and was very interested in keeping my nose complimentary to my face. After meeting with him I didn't consult with anyone else. Surgery went very well, and recovery was quick. Stitches were out on the 7th day. I am now about 5 weeks post op. Bridge swelling has decreased substantially with only minor swelling left. My tip is still fairly stiff and swollen, but I can feel my lips again and the feeling in my columella is slowly but surely returning. My nose has not looked bad or embarrassing even once since surgery (that's how much better it looks to me), and I love seeing if shrink and fit to the shape he created more and more each week. I'm feeling less obsessive these days, 100% more confident, and finally feel like I have a nose that won't make me feel insecure every time someone snaps a photo of my profile. Forgive the order of the photos. I'm not sure why they uploaded so randomly. I tried to include a few before and afters (these are not official, just my own). Some of the pictures you can see are more swollen than others. This week has been up and down as I am traveling and the plane and air pressure seem to have increased tip swelling a bit. Even with swelling, I'm still very very happy with my results.
