Patience

Ok so it's been rough the last couple of weeks. I had to have fluid drained from my lower back and there has been so much discomfort due to being hunched over and not able to straighten out. Today is post-op day 16. I am still completely hunch over and unable to straighten out when standing, walking, or trying to sleep. All the reviews I've seen of other people's TT showed them standing up straight by this time. It is a bit concerning to me. I have a 6 month old and 3 other children and it's been difficult to do anything that is required of me. I expected some down time but I didn't expect this. I can't stand for long at all, maybe a minute or so before I have to sit down because of all the strain on my back from being hunch. I get winded too! This is really the only issue. I have experienced some tenderness in areas where the lipo was performed but it's very minimal. I have been trying to research my situation but haven't been able to find much on it. My doctor says every thing looks good and I will straighten out in time. Although I am a little discouraged and uncomfortable I trust that my doctor and his work. It's all just a waiting game now. The fluid seems to be about gone now. Went from pre-op weight of 200lbs to 218lbs after surgery. Now back down to 200lbs. Sooo progress is slow but steady. Wonder if it's common to be hunched at this point and if anyone can relate.

Irritated

Not sure that I like having the sutures in my stomach vs having a drain. I have drains in my breast and I barely notice they are there. They don't bother me and they are doing what they are supposed to do....draining fluid! I have been in so much discomfort since I woke up yesterday. My belly is full to the max capacity with fluid and it is sore. I am still hunched over and not walking straight yet. Which puts so much strain on my lower back. I have a few things about my incisions that are starting to irk me as time goes by. I really would have preferred to have drains vs sutures ladies. So for any of you contemplating these are my recommendations. I just can't deal with all of the tension and tightness from the buildup of fluid. It's uncomfortable and annoying. Also what is up with my scars. Have any of you seen anything like this? My doc says it will flatten out???

Just a few more pics

Here are some pics. Today was worse than others. No pain really. Just feeling like I have way to much fluid built up in my tummy and my womanly activity has occurred for the month so dealing with that as well. Can't wait to see my doc hopefully Monday to have drains removed. On my way now to have a lymphatic massage. I stepped on the scale the day of surgery weighing in at 201.
I am now 213.

Overall rating

Amazing. As stated by others he is nothing short of amazing. I had a mommy makeover and it exceeded my expectations (times a million). I'm just so thankful. He and his team are amazing. I love Amy she took such good care of me during my overnight stay. Way better than just five stars ✨. They are the best.
