I'm almost 6 months out from my procedures and I couldn't be happier with my results! A lot of factors went in to making my experience such a positive one, but above all I know it's because I picked the right surgeon. Dr. Hasen is truly an artist! I was told in my consultation that he is meticulous and a perfectionist, and that is absolutely the case! When I began searching for a surgeon I reviewed photos from doctors in multiple cities, and Dr. Hasen's were far and away the best. I was so impressed that I flew in to Naples from Austin, Texas for my procedures.

Being Dr. Hasen's patient really means being the patient of his entire staff. Everyone, and I truly mean everyone, took such great care of me! Marie patiently answered my endless questions. She and all the girls in the front office are so very sweet, always greeting me warmly and cheering me on when I arrived for my follow ups in the early days of my recovery. They helped me stay positive during that "am I ever going to be able to stand up straight again?" phase. Brandie and Jennifer were just as kind, which was especially important when taking multiple sets of naked photos. I was always treated with a high level of respect, which is crucial during such a vulnerable process. On the day of surgery I also had a surgical nurse who took great care of me, and was especially happy with the anesthesiologist. I have anxiety which can flare up in certain situations, the morning of my procedures being one of them. He was incredibly understanding, talked to me in a way that helped distract me, and made sure that I wasn't in a panic when it was time to start. Dr. Hasen is a focused, precise surgeon, making him excellent at what he does. His staff is equally excellent in their roles, including providing the "warm and fuzzy" element I needed to feel good about my experience.

I can easily say that Dr. Hasen is worth every penny. (I love a good sale, but cosmetic surgery is not something I wanted to buy off the clearance rack!) Plus now I use it as motivation to go to the gym - I feel a greater sense of responsibility to maintain not just my health, but also my financial investment.

A few other quick tips that helped me during this process:

I stayed next door at the Residence Inn for the first few days post-surgery. It was so nice to be close for the first couple follow ups without having to get in a car!

I got a walker for $5 at Goodwill. This was crucial in staying mobile to help the healing process, while not straining my back muscles or using my caregiver every time I wanted to move around.

I ate well, walked regularly, got sunshine and fresh air, and meditated daily. State of mind is SO important and made a huge difference in my recovery.

Marie told me I would look and feel amazing around month 3 and she was so right! I earned a trip to Hawaii through work, which was right at that 3 month mark. Here is a little of the email I sent the office when I returned:

"Thank you all again for a fantastic experience in January! I just returned from my Hawaii trip and had to tell you that I feel amazing! What a relief to not hide from the camera! It is a real gift to be able to find multiple swimsuits that I felt confident in. I am so thrilled with my results so far. I knew I picked the right surgeon, but WOW Dr. Hasen is really an artist."
